"Don't you EVER leave me again!" Oliver's fiancée Nicky tossed her arms around Tae's neck and held on for dear life. The large leather coat that she pulled from Drake's closer earlier that morning before stepping into the below zero weather began falling from her shoulders as she pulled it open to take off. "I'm surrounded by so much testosterone! Between Oliver, his little brother and the rest of the crew! I can't WAIT to get on my period sometimes!" Nicky said shaking her head and being dramatic, her Canadian accent was thick.
"You know I couldn't stay away from you too long." Tae said smiling.
"So, you're... Back?" Nicky was a bit hesitant to speak on her and Drake but she asked as subtle as possible.
Tae took a deep breath, she looked around the large warehouse that the OVO clothing line had been stationed in. Nicky, Oliver, and her had spent many long nights in there working, brain storming on the next and latest look for OVO clothing. She had made a commitment to Oliver and Nicky and to the clothing line she didn't want the problems she had going on with Drake to make that business deal go sour. It was Drake she had a situation with not his brand.
"Yea, I'm back." She sighed, then pulled Nicky back into a hug.
"You liking Toronto so far?" She asked with a smile. She spoke with excitement about a city she had been in all her life.
"No different from New York. It's freezing, snow everywhere, and traffic." Tae said back picking up a white box that had been shipped to the facility.
Nicky laughed and watched her pulled the clear packing tape from the box. "Yea, you got a point about that." She went silent again and looked at Tae's face and pulled the bright red blow pop from her mouth. "How's you and Drake?" She cautiously asked.
Tae chewed the inside of her cheek. "If it works then it works, if not then..." Tae shrugged her shoulders then opened the flaps of the box and pulled out fabric samples out of it. "How do you and Oliver do it?" Tae set the fabric back in the box and looked up at Nicky giving her all her attention.
She paused again and folded her arms across her chest. She leaned back against the waist high metal table and took a deep breath. "You know what?... I don't even know. We've been together so long it just works." She took a lick of the blowpop. "Oliver isn't Drake through, yes they may think alike and share the same ideas but they are very different and. Drake is the source of everything, we've built OVO from the ground up and... Drake is... He is, gas, fuel, nothing works without him. Sure I have to deal with minor women here and there, old flings try to make their come up on him every once in awhile, but he isn't Drake, he doesn't have Drakes track record, he doesn't have Drakes fame. You gotta have tough skin to date that level of fame. Gotta set boundaries, even for him."

"Always saw you for what you could've been
Ever since you met me
Like when Chrysler made that one car that looked just like the Bentley
I... always saw you for what you could've been
And even when it's business with you it's personal again
I knew you before you made ends meet and now we're meeting our end
And it's all because you chose a side
You're supposed to put your pride aside and ride for me
Guess it wasn't time
And of course you went and chose a side that wasn't mine."
Tae's attention was pulled from her laptop when the lyrics he sang hit her ears, she looked up at Drake over the top of her laptop as he stood inclosed behind the glass, large black headphones covered one ear and the other tucked behind it. She watched him intently with a frown as he once again spilled clues on another personal relationship that went wrong for whatever reason, she didn't know. Sometimes even Drake didn't know why certain relationships went south but one thing was for sure he was never afraid to speak about them musically.
"You sit and you pray hoping that the stars align
My luck is a sure thing cause I'm living right
When I needed you, you couldn't give me any advice
But you always had something to say every other time
Everybody that I met on the way tries to get in the way
I'm fooding and serving them all like I'm working for minimum wage
Someone up there must just love testing my patience
Someone up there must be in need of some entertainment
Forgiveness for your ways
If I ever loved ya, I'll always love ya that's how I was raised
Same way I'm right here still feeling the way
Same way I'm realizing on a day to day
All of my "let's just be friends" are friends I don't have anymore
How do you not check on me when things go wrong"
Tae turned her head and watched 40's fingers grace over buttons she had no clue for their purpose. His other hand steady on the computer mouse moving it, highlighting portions of the screen and clicking it. She was quiet which was the only reason she could be in the studio at that period. Neither 40 or Drake noticed whenever she was sitting in the back. Drake stepped out the large booth and stood behind 40.
Tae continued her tunnel vision of watching his every move, his character was drawing he pulled you in to want to study him, the way he ran his hand down the top of his head, the way he stood perfectly straight with one hand in his pocket and the other holding his phone as he scrolled through articles and stories on pop culture, the way he bit down on his bottom lip when an idea sparked.
"I forgot you was back here." Drakes deep voice pulled her from her thoughts. She looked up at him and smiled.
"Yea, I'm quiet when I need to be." He leaned down over the top of her laptop and pressed his lips to hers. Drakes hand graced over the small boyfriend style rose gold audemar watch and interlocked his fingers with hers.
"You good?" He asked noticing her somber yet dazed facial expression.
Nicky's words replayed back in her head all day. The only thing she could think of was If she gave Drake boundaries would he except them, sure if he was making efforts to get her back then of course he would except them. "I'm fine, just got a lot of work to do. That's all."
