The night began to slow down, Oliver made his way to his room for the, for the first time 40 was in his bed and not in the studio, and Tae's plans of getting OB drunk was beyond successful. He passed out on the large brown leather couch in one of the dens, laying on his back, his hat on top of his face covering it up, and a red cup in his hand, he was out cold, a rock to be exact.
Tae followed the sound of bass coming from the studio, she slightly pushed open the door cracking it, she poked her head in and watched Drake for a few minutes before fully letting herself in, she tiptoed to the couch and sat down. Drake's back turned to the room, his head bobbed up and down as he listened to the beat, his eyes closed, and his fingers moving along with the tempo.
He turned off the beat and sat down in the office chair, he leaned all the way back, his blackberry in his hand.
"Making an album must be harder than it looks." Drake turned his head as he heard Tae's small voice, he looked at her and smiled.
After a moment he put a surprised look on his face and jumped forward in his chair. you scared me!" He put his hands in the air in shock. "We need to get you a bell!" He mocked her.
Tae cocked her head to the side and squinted her eyes. "Shut up." She said with a slight smile on her face.
Drake squinted his eyes back at Tae as if he was trying to read something that was too far. "Are your eyes still open!? How can you see when you do that?" He playfully asked, making fun of her chinky eyes.
Tae's mouth opened "I hate you!" She said as she started laughing.
"It's not that hard, the hard part is figuring out what song should go on the album and what songs should be saved for something else." Drake turned back to the soundboard, Tae looked at his broad shoulders and wide back, she bit her bottom lip, slightly turned on. "Sometimes I have too much to say, I end up making too many songs, then I have to cut some out."
He stopped talking as he began typing lyrics in the notepad on his phone, Tae watched him patiently, waiting for him to continue, she pulled her legs up and sat Indian style on the couch.
"That's the part I hate, the hard part, because I want fans to hear every song, but I know not every song fits." Drake placed the blackberry on the soundboard and turned his attention to the computer screen. "There has to be a specific order that things go in, songs have to flow into one another, and some songs don't flow.... They don't flow the way I want them too."
Tae continued watching his back as he spoke, she could listen to him speak all day, it didn't even have to be about anything, all she knew was if he wanted her to sit and listen to his deep voice for hours if she would and she'd do it eagerly. "That's not saying it's a bad song, but it just didn't work, so....." He stopped talking again and picked up his blackberry. "You save it for later, or save it for another project, maybe even give it to someone else.... If you're not that attached to it."
Drake grew silent again, his attention was back on the computer screen, he leaned forward one hand on the soundboard and the other on the computer mouse after a few seconds
"Come here." He said calmly but demanding.
Tae's head shot up, she looked at the back of him then frowned in confusion. Drake slightly turned his head getting a look at her, he looked at her out the corner of her eye to see if she was coming, once he saw her get up he turned his head back to the computer screen, and continued clicking away. Once she stood next to him, he grabbed her hand and pulled her in front of him.
He stood directly behind her pressing his chest against her back, his cologne filled her nose, goosebumps formed on her arms at the feeling and smell of him.
