"I can't possibly be the only girl you do these things for." Tae asked sounding more amused than anything. She rolled her eyes and shook her head still amazed that Shod could talk her into taking Drake's offer.

"Should I lie?" He asked looking up at her. He squinted his eyes against the bright sun. Tae pressed her lips together and nodded in understanding not needing to hear his answer. Ripples in the water waved back and froth as Drake walked towards the edge of the pool. "I appreciate you for taking my offer, taking your time out to show up."

"You shouldn't. Shod talked me into it. He wanted a free vacation." She said looking down at, watching him place his buff arms on the edge of the pool, his shoulder flexed causing his muscles to grow and twitch, his body had gotten better and better to the eyesight and clearly he was even better to look at in person, Her frustration with him seemed to be overpowered by her physical attraction to him that was very much still there. In all honesty if she could get away with just simply having sex with him without getting attached again she'd surely be naked and there would be less talking, but she knew that was nothing more than wishful thinking, after everything they had been through a simple touch from him (which she hadn't felt in months) was enough to make shiver.

"Well... he does a lot of... talking... so I can understand how that can tire a person." Drake replied scrunching his face trying to figure out what exactly Shod was doing with himself these days to require him to be on a tropical island at the expense of another man.

Tae frowned at Drake patronizing her best friend. "He's my right hand... and my left one, he's sacrificed a lot to be by my side and help me, he's been loyal, just a Oliver or a Chubbs. So, where I go, he goes! Even on vacation." She cut her eyes at him pointing her nose in the air and giving him the cold shoulder.

"Chubbs and Oliver hear you comparing them to Shod, they'd have a fit." He said back as he dipped his body back into the water, the hot sun had managed to dry the beads of water that ran down his back and shoulders.

"Oh please, they wish! My booboo is too fabulous for them to even think they could compare

"Oh please, they wish! My booboo is too fabulous for them to even think they could compare." She followed up her joke with a smile.

Drake smiled back but grew silent concentrating on her, watching her look down and fix the front part of her one-piece swimsuit. Judging by how low the sides were he couldn't tell if it was one or multiple pieces he just knew he liked it, watching her place the fabric in its right spot leaving little to the imagination, as if he had anything to imagine, her skin already glowing as if she had been tanning for hours, her thighs and hips as big as her hair, her face free from any kind of makeup. She seemed to be perfect without trying, something Drake had forgotten she was good for.

"I can admit I do miss you." He admitted before pushing his body out of the water and stepping onto the cement of the pool deck.

"That's your fault." She hissed back quickly yet calmly, finally adjusting her bathing suit the way she wanted it, she frowned up at him, she took a step back once she felt the remaining water drip from his body, off of his swim trunks, and create a smaller pool around bother their feet.

"You're a lot colder." He observed, willing to take the fault for that.

"No, I'm still me... as pleasant as ever just a little turned off from you." She smiled. Instead of blaming and allowing ex flings mold how she treated and viewed other she simply put all that negative energy right back on that person. It was him directly who she was cautious of not the other potential loves. He stepped closer and ran his cold fingertips down the side of her hip then down her thigh. "You just couldn't resist." She teased him with a chuckle before grabbing his hand and lightly pushing it away. He shook his head and reached up with the other hand doing the same motion this time softly grabbing the fat of her outside thigh.

His touch had proved to be right, giving her body small goosebumps, Tae closed her eyes wanting to stop him but her body seemed to not function, for some reason her brain shut down all signals to tell him to stop, or for her to push his hand away, there was nothing. He stepped closer, she closed her eyes feeling the light consistent drops of water that drained from his shorts hitting her toes, he went from just fingertips on her hips to resting his whole hand on her lower back. His signature scent of Versace cologne showed itself to her nose even after spending hours of going between chlorinated and seawater, he stepped closer touching his forehead to hers.

"I know you being here isn't a guarantee, so I won't assume anything. But I know you're good for me. You were patient with me, more patient than any other woman I've dealt with and for that I owe you." His voice dropped several octaves keeping their conversation theirs, he interlocked his fingers to hers with his free hand and pulled her closer to him keeping his other hand around her back.

"Don't seduce me, Aubrey." Tae growled at him with a frown. She was helplessly locked in his grasp and knew what he was doing. "How long do you expect me to... work, with you until you figure out what you want? How long am I supposed to be... patient, with you while you work on...you?" This time it was her doing the patronizing.

His lips cracked into a smile as he caught her sarcasm, the smart ass undertone she tossed at him through words. "You don't. No more... working... with me. I owe you a lot of apologies and I know I wasted a lot of your time. So let me make it up to you."

As much as she missed his touch she could pass on his sweet talk, she rolled her eyes and pressed her lips together pushing a bushel of curls the wind had blown in her face. She went silent and took in what would be her view for 48 hours yet Drake kept his eyes on her this time him being the patient one waiting for her to figure out what she wanted.

"You just can't let me be huh?" She said still looking over at the ocean. Drake pressed his face in the crook of her neck unable to hold his urges in any longer. Tae couldn't help but to close her eyes his full soft lips kissed every surface of her throat and neck that they had missed for several months.

"Should I lie?" He asked again in between planting several slow kisses along her collarbone.
