"I don't want to put any pressure on you in case you're already busy" Mr Nathanson explained gently, "But his marks are getting more and more appalling, he desperately needs help."

"Rude" I muttered from where I stood outside the classroom door, where Mr Nathanson was explaining to Alistair why I so desperately need his help and how much it would benefit me, "My marks aren't that bad" I murmured in annoyance, I got 32% ONCE and Mr Nathanson just cannot let go.

"Of course, I completely understand. I would be more than happy to help him" Alistair replied cheerily and I didn't expect him to agree so easily, " In fact he's coming to my house after this, so we might as well start today?"

"God fuckin-" I swore in irritation as I watched the corridors slowly become empty while people left for home, because when I got to Alistair's house I was looking forward to more milkshakes and video games, not fucking maths.

"Great" Mr. Nathanson said with glee, "Rather sooner than later, I have a list of the things that he's been struggling with lately." He passed him a piece of paper, "I hope it's not too much to assist him with, since you have your own work to focus on."

"It shouldn't be a problem sir" Alistair smiled his rare brilliant smile, "I'll let you know of his progress and if there's any difficulty"

"Alright thank you, have a good day!"

"You too sir, goodbye!" Alistair finally walked out the classroom.

"You know even though you agreed to help me with my maths, I personally feel that Mr Nathanson was over exaggerating; my marks really aren't that bad" I explained nervously, "So you can tell Mr Nathanson that my progress is great but you don't really have to be checking my progress, you know what I mean?"

"You want me to lie." He looked at me with an arched eyebrow.

"Well not exactly but-"

"Kyler I promised Mr Nathanson I would assist you with your maths and that's what I'm going to do whether you like it or not; unless you can prove to me that you do not need my assistance." He interrupted me with a huff and I felt like a child being scolded.

"Fine" I pouted and followed him to the gate where his dad's Austin Martin was patiently waiting on the other side of the road.

"Bye Kyler and Alistair!" Sean, Veranic and other various people of the group shouted at us as we walked out the gate. I rolled my eyes at them in irritation while Alistair gave them a timid wave before continuing his journey to his dad's car.

The group crowded Alistair at every given chance to ask him about his interests and although they have good intentions and just want to get to know him more, their approach clearly makes him uncomfortable and me irritable.

"Hello boys" Robert greeted us once we reached his silver car and I tried not to feel awkward when Alistair opened the door for me.

"Hello" We greeted in unison once we were comfortable in the dark plush leather seats.

"How was your day?" He smiled back at us in his grey suit and began to reverse out the parking.

"Quiet Mediocre" Alistair answered for both of us, "And yours, father?"

"Very busy" He sighed heavily, "I've been flying from conference to conference; I'm sorry I haven't been around a lot but as soon as they end I promise I will spend the whole week with you."

"You don't have to do that father, I haven't been around that often myself; so I assume its mother who would want our company most" He laughed.

"Your mother has also been quiet busy with concerts this year. Look at us, we're such a busy bee family" Robert chuckled, "How's your family doing Kyler? Is everything good?"
