Elfrida
The next morning, Elfrida heard someone at her bedroom door, but instead of knocking, he or she slipped something under the door. Wondering what it could be, Elfrida went to the door and sure enough there was a folded piece of paper on the floor. Curious, she picked it up and opened it. It read:
She's leaving soon. I'll stall.
Well, that explained that. Elfrida ripped it up into little pieces and went to flush it down the toilet. There was no point in leaving evidence laying around.....just in case. Anyway, she knew who they were. Akili and Cammi. It's time, she thought to herself, to see what this meeting's about. But when had Cammi and Akili talked to Headmistress Alison before? And why wasn't she included in this meeting too, unless it's supposed to be a secret? They must think they don't have to worry about her finding out. There were so many questions Elfrida kept asking herself, but she pushes them all into the back of her mind. She has to focus right now.
She puts on some perfume specially made by witches to make it harder for those with sensitive nosies to catch her scent. It actually smells like the tansy flowers until it contacts skin, then it smells like nothing, cloaking her scent. Elfrida left her room and went to Cammi's floor. She was about to round a corner to her sister's room when she quickly ducked back around. Right at Cammi's bedroom door was Cammi herself and one of the girls she met at the meeting.
Actually the girl was the twin, Lucy. Lucy and her sister were apparently both part of the group. Lucy noticed Elfrida and left Cammi. Cammi, a bit confused, walked toward the hall Elfrida was at. Shit. Elfrida, realizing that she was about to be caught before her spying even started, quickly opened the closest door to her and hide inside. She left the door slightly opened, enough so that she can see outside, she waited for Cammi to pass. But then she heard a noise behind her.
Elfrida turned around and there right behind her was a vampire staring at her with dark blue eyes. She couldn't help herself, casually look him up and down. And damn was he hot. He had nice build, easy to see especially with him shirtless and all. He had abs that would make any girl drool. Not that Elfrida was drooling or anything. He had brown hair that was spiked up giving him a bad boy appearance. No scratch that. His entire being screamed bad boy, and danger. And arrogance. Pure arrogance. Lovely. Note the sarcasm.
"Hi." He said with a raised eyebrow. He leaned in close. I don't think he understands the meaning of personal boundaries, she thought."What's a fine thing like you doing in a place like this?"
Elfrida opened her mouth, closed it, then finally realized it's been quiet for way too long.....and that she was staring at his lips. She said, trying to come up with something to say, "Sorry, I was trying to avoid someone; my sister. She's always nagging me about some random things."
If she continues to talk she'll die of embarrassment. Gods, why did he have to be so hot, it's distracting. Elide look up, do not look down. I repeat, look up. Shit. She looked him over once more, and blushed ever so slightly. Damn it.
He smirked as though he knew what she was thinking. "Well thank the gods that it was my room you came barging into. Otherwise we would have never had the pleasure of meeting each other. And I would have missed out on a beautiful hottie like you. The name's Chase, Chase Underwood."
Doing her best to recover, Elfrida rolled her eyes. "Elfrida Crescendo." Then she smiled sweetly. "But I best be going. I have more important matters to do than a shirtless guy like you." she said as she looked him up and down once more. Shit, she didn't mean it to sound like that. Okay, let's face it, she so did.
And with that she left the room. But Chase called after her, "Oh, you're wrong there, sweetheart. I'm the most important thing you can, and will, do." She glanced back at him to see him giving her wink and staring at her butt. Perv.
Elfrida did her best not to laugh, but couldn't stop the corner of her mouth from rising, arrogant guy. Like the world needs any more of those. Sigh. Why is it always the hot ones that are assholes?
Elfrida was following Cammi down the hall. Luckily, Cammi had not heard Elfrida when she'd ran to catch up to her. They got close to the grand staircase. Elfrida had slowed before stopping as Cammi started down the grand staircase, keeping her distance. They were on the fifth floor so Elfrida would have to make sure that there was at least one staircase between them as they descend.
Slowly she walked down the stairs and watched as Cammi left the school through its entranceway. She had assumed her sister was just going to lead her to the Headmistress office but instead Cmmi just walked right past it and through the school's front door.
Elfrida quickly went down the stairs and paused for a minute outside the headmistress's door, thinking, deciding. No, I can search it later. She need to find out what this meeting is about to satisfy her curiosity. And plus everyone loves a good mystery.
She walked to the door. Pausing when she reached it, Elfrida put her ear to the door and listened for anyone there. Satisfied no one was there, she opened it and slide outside, following her sister around the school's building.
They had been walking for what felt like hours, but most likely it's only been a few minutes. Cammi unknowingly led her out of the academy and down a narrow path that had the entire forest on one side and the other side a field of wild flowers growing near a small lake.
The sun was rising above the trees, shoving bright colors at her face forcing her blink to get the sun out of her eyes. The minute she did that, Elfrida realized she'd lost Cammi. Sigh. She looked around, wildly anticipating her sister to be right behind her about to yell at her for following her. But when Elfrida turned around, she wasn't there. She wasn't anywhere. Well then....now what?
She went back down the cobblestone path, thinking that she may have passed some sort of turn off. And just as she was rounding a bend, she noticed something. There was a red ribbon tied around a branch. Weird, why would someone tie a ribbon to a........oh. There were also broken branches around the area. As she moved closer, she noticed a tiny dirt trail right next to the ribbon.
Elfrida sighed. Of course she would have to go into the deep dark forest. And that's exactly what she did. She got off the path, made her way down the muddy dirty path and into the woods. This so calls for a nice relaxing bubble bath. And new clothes.
