Victoria

Victoria was walking to her first class of the day with her new friend, Elfrida. She was completely happy that she would have at least one friendly face on her first day of classes, even if it was a gym class, although they call it self-defense class. Weird. But still it should be the same thing. She's totally lucky that this was one of those mixed grades' classes.

And Victoria may be new to this whole supernatural thing but she knows gym class. It's the same everywhere around the world. Running, jumping-jacks and push-ups, maybe a few different sports related games but those about sums it up. She can handle this. She knows she's in shape enough to pass a regular class.

She was so wrong.

It turns out her teacher, Mr. Benard, is very serious about this class. Yeah, he's one of those teachers. He has decided for their very first lesson to teach them hand to hand combat having them pair off. Seriously, sinse when did we learn how to hit people, on purpose, in school. She should have paid attention to the name better. Mr. Benard showed them some moves for the beginners to start practicing, then gave some new ones to the more experienced, refreshing their minds. After twenty minutes of that, he paired them up. Beginners with beginners, experienced with experienced. No cross overs luckily. Other wise Victoria was done for.

Victoria had been paired with a girl her age with bright red hair and freckles. And she smelled, as Victoria getting used to the hole smelling thing, like wet dog, so a werewolf. She has been told that werewolves do not smell like wet dog all the time. Well, Elfrida told her. Victoria's so happy that she had managed to make a best friend that she can ask, somewhat stupid, questions.

She's already learned from Elfrida that basically all the supernaturals she's ever heard about are real, except different....and more vicious....and that there are more that she has never heard about. There's even angels and demons that are still a slightly new being and new mystery in her world, and gods and goddesses that are worshiped by the supernaturals in Welenta, which include vampires, werewolves, lunnakas (have no clue what those are), witches, casters, shapeshifters, and more. It's all very interesting. Call her a nerd, but Victoria thinks she'll do some of her own research on her own later on in the library.

You know, Victoria never really thought about these legendary creatures, which now included her too she supposes, as having a religion. As it turns out, there are twenty-five gods and goddesses of Welenta in total. That's a lot, and that's apparently not even all the gods that existed. The gods of Welenta, naturally, created the Welenta Nation, and maybe also other Nations that are closely connected to Welenta.

Welenta, as she's learned from talking to Elfrida earlier this morning, is made up of three continents and two islands. And is full of many cultures according to kingdoms and creature. There are pirates, mystery, castles, and so much more that it sounds too good to be true. To be honest, it sounds like a novel she would read.

Gods, Victoria thought, how I would love to go there. Welenta.

Wow, she's already swearing like how Elfrida does.

Victoria tried to focus back on the lesson. She was currently being slammed into the floor by the redhead so yeah, that was fun. Not. Victoria tried to grab at the girl to twist free and roll away, key word: tried. This girl was way too strong. Damn that werewolf strength. Shouldn't she be stronger than this. She should, but she still feels so human compared to all these other people.

The girl pinned Victoria's hands down, but Victoria somehow managed to get her feet between her and the girl. Launching the girl across the room when she pushed. Holy shit! She didn't even realized how strong she was. Guess she is more than human. Luckily, Mr. Benard caught the girl before she could hit the wall, moving a little backwards from the force.
