Elfrida

It has been several days, since she left her blood sisters and their friends. And Elfrida was getting impatient. They had started anew their search for the Master's prize. They were getting nowhere. She has found many more hidden passages, leading to various place or mostly ending in dead ends, she even found the one Chase had mentioned.

But that's not the only thing she's been impatient about. Elfrida just knows that Cammi and them are planning something, or bound to anyway. She knows they're going to try their hardest to take back the school. And they can have the school.......as soon as she finds the damn thing.

She sighed her frustration. Currently she was in prayer with the Friday lot of followers. They are the same group that Mia had belonged too. Which just makes her even more agitated. This was the same group that's job was to take control of the school. Elfrida didn't want to risk any of the other members coming out to join them, any of the students that aren't members might be wandering around. After all she figured there was no point having them cooped up in their rooms all day long.

James was leading the prayer, he said in a loud worshipful voice, "May the Master live long and fully, for our lives depends on it. May the Goddesses and Gods continue to bless us, especially for the Goddess Ethel, who is the one to give us this mission. That she leads us through the Master...."

He continued on, every once in a while stopping to allow the traditional 'bless us, lead us'. Everyone was on their knees, holding their hands behind their heads, this is done because anyone could be killed. In a group, the person leading the prayer has the option to offer a sacrifice to the gods. But they usually don't. Only the Master does, and it's always with a red line drawn across the sacrifice's throat.

Our prayers are short, depending on prayer. This one is the one that is said when the sun is almost gone, every day. It can be said alone or as a group.

There's a few other worship gatherings, one for marriage between members, another for initiation, and the final one that's every five months. The one that is every five months is a sacrificial one, generally this one is a prayer for the members to dedicate to the commanders. They sacrifice five animals, one for each of the commanders.

Normally Elfrida looks forward for this time, but today she is to tired, she had been avoiding sleep, even though she needs it, maybe not as much as the pure blooded werewolves and vampires, but she needs it just the same. Unfortunately her mind has been occupied by other things, and not just for the search. Elfrida's reluctant to admit, even to herself, that she just can't get their disbelieving eyes off her mind for very long.

She never would have thought she would feel guilty for doing what the Master wills, but she is. Gods dammit, she thought to herself, feeling quilt is weakness. But she feels it anyway. And she's not about to telling anyone that she does, Audrey suspects, but they both know the dangers of saying anything of their fears out loud.

You never know who's about.

Finally, James is finishing the prayer. Elfrida and the others lean forward so that their foreheads touch the floor. James leaves. Slowly everyone gets up and brake off into groups to chat. Elfrida was alone but then she say Victoria waving her over.

She joins her group, which is composed of Audrey, Jill, and Lucy. Victoria has been hanging out with Audrey more and more since she was initiated. Elfrida wouldn't be surprised if Audrey has managed to get her influence into the girl's mind. She could have done it herself, but she figured there would be no need, considering Victoria was also her best friend. Along with Audrey of course.
