Cammi

Cammi watched as Mia sat down on the bed, curling her legs under her chin. Cammi then watched the others, Chase wasn't looking at anyone and his expression showed sadness and just a hint of anger. Her other sister, Akili, for some odd reason looked a little hopeful. Cole, well, he didn't look like that much had changed, except for the fact that his ex-girlfriend is a crazy bitch and had managed to take over the school and unknowing to us kicking us out. Yeah, she has no clue how he's managing to keep a cool exterior.

But what do they do next? Cammi knew what she wanted to do. Storm the castle. Take back their land. That sort of thing. But she needs more people to help her. Trained people. The only people that was like that were the soldiers. But she didn't know how long the group of solders was going to get here. And she can't exactly warn them, none of them had thought to bring a phone, which would have been useless, or bring a candle. Elfrida had said that she had brought hers, obviously it had been a lie.

Akili had checked the bag Elfrida had left the day after she had left. All that was in it was just full of pieces of cloth and a book called, 'The Forbidden Games' by L. J. Smith, it was actually a trilogy series under one cover. Cammi had never read it, but she had seen both Akili and Elfrida read it. Akili didn't look to happy about it. She said that the heroine and her friends had to go through a series of games to beat the Prince of the Shadows.

It had been a few days since then. They were all kind of just hoping that they would suddenly come up with something to do in the meantime. In the end they were all bored out of their minds. It gets old playing I Spy after a while. They had tried to get Mia to talk more about things, but she had been avoiding it, and them, to talk. Mia seemed to just sink into her mind and dwell on things of the past. Cammi can't help but wonder if she ever regretted trying to help them even if though she knew the consequences and benefits.

Cammi focused back on Mia, who was saying, "I heard that our commanders are trained even more ferociously than us foot soldiers, and that the Master himself trains them and makes sure that they believe everything he tells him. And only a chosen few have actually been in his presence. So there's no chance of me telling you anything about him from personal experience. The only way to do that is by committing a great enough crime against the family or being high enough up the food chain."

Mia had finally given in to tell them more about the enemy. Apparently it was a bit about more about the training. Cammi has no clue why she was telling them this. So she decided to move it more towards what she wants to know.

"Do you know how many commanders, how many groups, Of The Woods supposedly has?" Cammi wanted to know everything she could about the enemy as soon as possible. Then she can tell everything to the soldiers once they come.

The soldiers coming were small in number since they were coming to really just investigate the deaths since things had gotten way above what Cammi, Cole, and Akili were supposed to look into. Obviously things have changed since they were sent for. Along with them is the new headmaster too. Cammi just hopes they get here sooner than they had planned. They were going to need all the help they could get.

Cammi could tell Akili was secretly hoping that their brother was coming with them. She thinks Akili's a bit foolish for hoping that, but then again, she was hoping the same thing. Maybe he could get Elfrida to see reason. At least, that is if Elfrida isn't as brainwashed as the rest of those mentals.

"Only five."

"Five what? Groups? Commanders?" Cammi wanted to throw her hands in the air in frustration. Sometimes it seems like this girl wants to give as much information as she knows, other times it was like she's only leaving hints. Not answering questions fully.

"Both," At Cammi's greatly annoyed look, she further explained, "There are Five Commanders, and each of them have their own division to command, but within those divisions are smaller groups that report back to them."

"What on is this one?"

"One of the much smaller ones. But..."

"But...?" Chase drawed it out in a question, waiting for her to continue on. He had sat up some.

"Well, it's only....it's only that I just remember a conversation I overheard Elfrida, Victoria, and Audrey were having." Her eyebrows scrunched in thought. "I remember one of them complaining about get cobwebs all over her from searching. And then one of the others said that the Master wouldn't have sent her there if it wasn't extremely important."

"And the Master would only ever send one of his most important members, a Commander perhaps, to get whatever it was he's after." Akili said, realizing what Mia meant. "Why didn't you say anything about this?"

Mia looked down, "I only just thought of it earlier."

That's why she told them about the training for the Master's chosen few. She was warning them that they may be up against someone even stronger than the others in the group. After all, Mia did say that she and the others were only foot soldiers, trained in only one thing each.

"This is so not good."

"You're telling me?" Cole said. "And there's only one person that could be that higher up."

They all said it together. "Victoria."

After all, Victoria was here in the Human world the entire time, and Mia had told them when she was still spying that the Master had come here. They needed the soldiers now. They had no clue what it was that they were looking for. But whatever it was, it wasn't good.
