Kylo Ren's POV

"Come on Ben. We can skip this one lesson," a young girl said. I looked at (Y/N) who was tugging at my sleeve as we headed to one of the buildings at the Jedi Academy. "The sunset is happening and it's beautiful, we have to see it," she begged. I sighed. There was always something about her. I could never say no to her, never get mad at her. "Fine. Just this one time," I said with a smile. She smiled widely and grabbed my hand, heading off past the buildings to a small canyon near the academy.

"Mr. Tough Guy is secretly a softy," (Y/N) teased, poking my ribs. "What do you mean," I asked, putting my hands in the pockets of my robes. She laughed and looked at me as we walked. "You're a sucker for watching at the sunset," she said. "I just enjoy the walks," I said, trying to seem a bit tougher. She laughed. "Your even more of a softy than I thought. You enjoy watching the sunset AND long walks," she teased. I playfully shoved her and stopped waking. "Have you ever wondered if maybe I wasn't saying yes because of what I was being asked to do, rather saying yes because of who was asking me to do it," I asked, turning to look at (Y/N). "What's that supposed to mean," she asked. I shrugged and started to walk, leaving (Y/N) standing there, thinking about what I had said.

I was quite far from her before it finally dawned on her. "BEN SOLO. IF THAT WAS YOUR LOVE CONFESSION TO ME, YOU REALLY NEED TO WORK ON IT," (Y/N) hollered. I laughed and took off running, (Y/N) running behind me, trying to catch up. She eventually did and pushed me down into the dirt. "Ben Solo, that was the most pathetic attempt at a love confession I have ever heard," she said, crossing her arms and looking down at me. "Help me up," I said with a fake look of disappointment on my face as I held one of my arms out.

She sighed and grabbed my hand to pull me up, but I pulled her down on top of me instead. "Never let your guard down. Didn't the old man teach you anything," I teased as I sat up and leaned back on my hands, (Y/N) sitting on my legs. She frowned a little and sighed. "What's wrong," I asked, slightly worried. She looked at me and the next thing I knew, she was kissing me. I went to kiss her back but she pushed me back down into the dirt. "Come on, you were just lecturing me on this, don't let your guard down," she teased as she laid down next to me. "But that wasn't fair," I complained, looking up at the sky. "Everything is fair in love and war," she said, poking my cheek. I chuckled and turned to look at her

But no one was there. I sat up and looked around. I was in my room. It was all a dream. A memory I had forced myself to forget, all of the memories flooding back. It simply cannot happen. Love is a weakness.
