Chapter 25

You woke up the next morning and Ben was gone. You sighed and got out of bed, looking down at your hand to make sure it wasn't it dream. The ring was there and you smiled. You quickly got dressed and headed down the hall to get breakfast before you heard someone behind you.

You turned around to see Poe. "What's up, buttercup," Poe said with a smile as you hugged him. "The news in the hangar is that you got engaged." You quickly nodded. "Who told you all," you asked. Ben wasn't usually one to hang out with the pilots. "Your excited mother-in-law did," Poe said as he linked arms with you and walked down the hall with you.

You laughed and looked at Poe. "I doubt she's as excited as me," you laughed. "Eh, pretty close," the pilot said with a smile as you arrived at the mess hall. Leia came running over. "Oh my! My new daughter," she said, hugging you. "I told you she was excited," Poe said before heading off to eat. "Hi General," you said with a smile,  hugging her back.

"Please, you can call me Leia now," she said, holding your shoulders and looking up at you. "Alright, and do you know where Ben," you asked. Leia shrugged. "He's probably off bragging about how you two are engaged," she said with a laugh. You chuckled. You knew she was right. "I'm going to go find him," you said. Leia hugged you once more before she let you head off.

You wandered around before finding Ben talking to a group of soldier. "Hello darling," you said, walking over to him. "Hello dear," Ben said, wrapping his arm around your waist and giving you a quick kiss. A few of the soldier 'awed' and you chuckled, leaning into Ben.

The two of you talked to the soldiers for a while before leaving to get lunch. As you headed to the mess hall, your brother ran up to you and hopped on your back. "Why didn't you tell me you were getting married," he asked. You laughed and glanced over your shoulder at him. "I couldn't find you," you shrugged. "So when's the wedding," he teased. "Not sure yet," Ben said. "I've got to talk to my mom about it because everyone at the base is invited." You smiled and your brother hopped off you back.

For the next few days, your engagement was one of the most talked about things on the base. You, Leia, and Ben had figured the date of the wedding and finished planning it. You and Leia had found a dress and your best friend (B/F/N), a pilot in your squadron, was your maid of honor. You had chosen a few girls who you were friendly with from Poe's squadron as your bridesmaids. Ben had chosen Kael, who was now one of his best friends, as his best man, along with Poe, Haiden, and another one of his friends as his groomsmen. This wedding was going to be amazing.

I dunno if this is how weddings work in the Star Wars universe but this is how it's gonna go XD. Anywayyysssss, I might be writing a sequel, it depends on how many people want me to. There is going to be probably 1 mor chapter to this one so I'll have that out asap!
