You sat at the table with Haiden and your father. "I have to leave tomorrow morning," you said quietly as you ate. Haiden dropped his fork on the table. "Why can't you stay? You just got here! Father and I miss you! Why can't you stay," he said quickly. You sighed and sat back. "I just can't," you answered quietly. Haiden groaned and went back to eating.
"There's someone that needs me," you said after a minute of silence. Your father looked up at you. "Is it that man that you left with earlier," he asked. You just nodded. "He's an old friend," you explained. "Yeah right," Haiden mumbled. You turned to look at him. "What was that, you jerk," you teased. "I'm just messin' with ya," he laughed.
You spent the rest of dinner catching up with your family. "I've got to go take care of something back on the ship," you said. "I'll be back." With that, you walked out the door and back to the ship. As you walked into the ship, a Stormtrooper walked along side you. "Hello, Miss. (Y/N)," he said. "Kael," you said with a smile. The trooper nodded. "Could you possibly show my where Kylo Ren's room is," you asked. Kael looked at you. "(Y/N), I don't think I'm allowed to do that," he said. "Please, Kael. This is urgent," you begged. The trooper sighed. "Alright, alright. But if anyone asks how you found out, it wasn't me," he said as he led you to Kylo's room. "Don't worry, I won't say anything," you assured him.
You got to Kylo's room and thanked Kael before he went on his way. You sighed and knocked on the door. "Kylo, it's (Y/N)," you said. There was a shuffling on the other side of the door and suddenly the door opened. Kylo stood in the doorway, his hair a mess and his eyes red. Had he been crying? "What do you want," he asked, his voice a bit hoarse.
"I came to apologize for earlier. I shouldn't have stormed off like that," you explained. Kylo didn't say anything for a minute. "Apology accepted," he finally said. "Are you alright? Have you been crying," you asked. Kylo quickly fixed his posture, standing up straight, trying to look composed. "No. Why would I be crying? How did you find out where my room is anyways," he asked quickly, the usual harshness back in his voice.
You sighed. You had thought things might be able to go back to the way they were before Kylo had left the academy. "I don't know. I'm sorry...sir," you said quietly. Kylo grabbed your arm and dragged you into his room, quickly closing the door behind you. "Kylo? W-what are you doing," you asked quietly.
He quickly wrapped his arms around you, pulling you into a tight hug. "I'm sorry (Y/N). I am so, so sorry," he mumbled as he hugged you. You rested your head on his chest and hugged him back. The two of you stood there hugging each other, Kylo still muttering apologies. "Kylo... It's alright. I understand why you left," you said quietly, looking up at him and putting your hands on his cheeks. A look a relief came across his face. "Oh thank god," he sighed as he wrapped his arms around your waist. You smiled and stood up on your tiptoes, kissing him softly. Kylo simply smiled and kissed you back.
