KYLO REN'S POV

"You're a monster!"

The words echoed through my head as I stormed down the hall. They made me dizzy. But that's what I was. I was a monster. Why did I keep lying to myself about it? Why couldn't I stop myself from falling deeper, becoming more and more of a monster. I fed off of making others suffer, making them feel the way I do, but I've hurt one of the last people who still loved me. I've gone too far this time.

I know what I have to do. I headed to the control room. "Turn the ship back to Hilak," I ordered General Hux. "Are we returning the girl," he asked. I nodded. "We'll be there in a few hours," he said. I nodded again and headed back to my room. Once I got there, I proceeded to destroy everything in my room.

As we were landing on Hilak, I went back to (Y/N)'s room and knocked on the door. She opened it a few seconds later and stared at me, her eyes red from crying. "I'm sorry," I said quietly. With a wave of my hand, (Y/N) blacked out. I grabbed her before she hit the floor and carried her bridal style off the ship. I went to her house and knocked on the door, her brother answering it.

"She's alright, don't worry," I assured him. "She just blacked out, but I've come to return her home." The boy back away from the door and I walked in. I laid her down in her bed and pulled a small letter out of my pocket, placing it on the table beside her bed.

I kneeled down by her bed and held her hand for the last time. "Goodbye (Y/N)," I said quietly. I slowly stood up and kissed her. "I'm sorry it had to end like this." A tear ran down my cheek as I left her. It was better this way.
