Gemma's POV
Gemma was floating in a sea of darkness. No wait, she was flying through a sea of darkness. No, the darkness wasn't just darkness. There were stars and planets everywhere! They whizzed by so fast Gemma couldn't tell which planet was which. It was all so peaceful up in the sky. Just then a loud shrieking filled the air. All the planets spun out of orbit and disappeared. The stars exploded and the sky became a sea of darkness once again.
Ringggggggg!!!!
Gemma shot up in bed, panting and sweating. "Stupid dream." She muttered. Then Gemma sent a death glare at her alarm clock. It was bouncing around on her bedside table, ringing like it was calling war. In one swift punch Gemma sent it falling to the ground, where the ringing finally stopped. She breathed a sigh of relief as silence filled the room once more.
Gemma twisted around and flopped back onto her bed, stomach first. She buried her head deep into her silky pillow. A loud ping rose up to her ears. My phone Gemma thought. She twisted her head to the side and looked at the small black cell phone that had survived its fair share of punches off the bedside table, along with the alarm clock.
Gemma stretched out her hand to grab her phone, but couldn't reach it. With a groan she moved over in her bed and grabbed the base of her phone. She pulled it towards but overestimated her force. The phone went sliding across the table and fell off the edge. Thankfully, Gemma's quick reflexes activated and she grabbed the phone before it hit the ground. "You don't need to be damaged anymore." Gemma said to her phone. The screen already had a spiderweb design of cracks along the screen. Gemma turned on her phone and looked at her new notification.
One new text message from: Mom
Get up!!!!!!!!! :)Gemma rolled her eyes and glared at her phone. "I guess a little more damage wouldn't hurt." Gemma opened her hand and let her phone fall to the floor. Then with a snore Gemma fell back asleep.
Time jump of 15 minutes
"Gem. Wake up Gem." Someone started shaking Gemma violently. "Wake up Gemma!" Someone screamed in her ear. Gemma shot up and nearly smacked her head into Bomb's.
"What the heck Bomb!" Gemma shouted rubbing her ear. A loud ringing was bouncing around her skull. "I was sleeping!"
"Well, we were supposed to be up like 5 minutes ago! So get up!" Bomb quickly scampered to gather her school supplies. Gemma smiled a little at seeing Bomb's raccoon tail bouncing as she walked. As Gemma dragged herself out of bed and went over to her mirror she couldn't help but laugh at Bomb a little.
"You wanna know what's funny?" Gemma asked as she was brushing her mess of red hair. Bomb flicked her one ear in acknowledgement for Gemma to continue talking. "It amazes me how you manage to act like a raccoon and still have the spunk of a Xandarian." Gemma blurted out.
Bomb stiffened a little but kept stuffing papers into an orange binder. "You know I hate being called just a raccoon. I'm half raccoon!" Gemma winced at Bomb's harsh voice. Yes she knew that Bomb hated being referred to as all raccoon, but couldn't Bomb take a joke?
"Calm down. I was just making a joke." Gemma pointed out as she slipped into her closet. Gemma quickly changed into her usual outfit. Black shirt with blue jeans and a red Raveger jacket. Gemma slipped out of her closet and started pulling on her black boots. She glanced up to see Bomb wearing her normal outfit, orange jeans, orange jacket, and brown boots.
