Yo! It's RR! So, the video above is just so you can see the gymnastics routine that Bomb, Quail, and Gemma do. The smallest girl is Bomb, the second smallest is Quail, and the tallest is Gemma. Enjoy that!
Bomb POV
It's gymnastics class. It's official called acrobatics but that's just to sound fancy. I'd prefer if the leotards were orange, but apparently blue and silver better represent the universe, or some other garbage like that. So, yeah, Gemma won't leave me alone about what happened with Aster earlier. It's nothing, I keep telling myself. It's more then that though. How comes the bad ones always do something nice and end up making you like them! There I said it! In a matter of mere minutes Aster went from 'evil bad boy' to 'evil bad boy that is actually really cute and nicer then you'd expect'. Great.
"Okay everyone!" Gamora called. (I mean really, who'd you think was teaching the class?) "Today Quail, Gemma, and Bomb are performing their routine. Let's give them all of our attention and respect." Oh right, today was performance day. Can this afternoon get any better!
"Welp, this should go good." Gemma said sullenly. Quail waltzed out to her position and shot both Gemma and Bomb an evil smile.
"Okay you three! Remember this is graded!" Gamora called as the girls lined up. Bomb took a deep breath and listened for her que to start.
They started out with a short mini dance routine before Bomb was flung up into the air. She quickly did her flips and landed perfectly.
This might just go okay. Bomb thought optimistically. She glanced over at the kids that were watching the performance. They all were girls except PJ. He was allowed to opt out of Sports Conditioning since he was in Orbball. That meant he had to take acrobatics. He apparently didn't mind.
"You're doing great girls!" Gamora shouted. It was then that Bomb noticed she was balancing on Quail's leg. Quail had a completely focused expression. That calmed Bomb down a lot. Quail was less dangerous when she was focused.
After a few more minutes of perfect balance and fearing to be dropped, the routine ended. The whole class clapped and, of course, Quail made a big deal about it.
"Oh! No it wasn't hard! Some people just have talent." Quail gushed to a Chitauri girl. Then Quail smiled at Bomb. "Some have it easy, only needing to balance on the person holding them on their leg." After that sentence, everyone ended up around Quail, Bomb and Gemma forgotten.
"I'm sure you got an A+." PJ whispered in Bomb's ear. She jumped, her super sensitive hearing amplifying his voice.
"How many times do I have to say stop that!" She growled. PJ just laughed and leaned against the wall to keep from falling over. Gemma heard what happened and waltzed over to slap him on the shoulder.
"Okay everyone!" Gamora called breaking up the huddle of kids around Quail. "It's time to begin our warm-ups! Since we have some new kids," Everyone turned to look at Universal and Comet. "today will be a walk through of our warm-ups!" Everyone groaned. Doing a walk through took longer, and was more boringly painful.
"Why can't they just learn it the hard way like we all had to?" Quail scoffed to her group of friends. They all nodded and muttered their agreement.
Universal and Comet ignored the stares and whispers as they got in position with the other kids. Everyone lined up along the edge of the mat across from the balance beams.
"Okay, first run up and grab the beams to do a high air split. Ready? Go!" Gamora shouted. Bomb sprinted forward, moving faster then most due to her small size. She grabbed the beam in front of her and hoisted herself up doing a perfect split in the air.
