Aster's POV
Aster sat next to Korey, who was on the verge of sleeping. Meteor was busy doing something on his electro gun. Universal was too far away to have a good conversation with. Comet had her music turned up so loud Aster could faintly hear the words to Neon Lights by Demi Lavato! He was bored. There wasn't anything to do on this stupid Novacore ship! Aster couldn't even look out the window! The window was near Comet and Universal. The least Nova could do was put two windows in this stupid ship. Aster layed his head back against the wall and closed his eyes, hoping that they would reach Xandar soon.
Universal's POV
Universal was listening to the music coming from Comet's headphones. How was Comet not deaf yet? She always had her music cranked up to 100! Universal glanced out the window behind her and watched as Xandar came closer and closer. She couldn't believe that soon she would be face to face with the children of the Guardians of the Galaxy! Who would have ever thought! Universal hated to admit it, but she was just a little scared. I mean, what if the Guardians kid's were super sweet? Not an annoying sweet, but an 'I can't kill you' sweet? What if they were super cool or mean? What if they knew what the villians were planning?
"Are you worrying about meeting the Guardians kid's?" Comet asked, turning to look at Universal.
"What! No! I was just," Universal didn't finish her sentence. Her thoughts stampeded through her head and she closed her mouth, afraid about what random things might pop out.
Comet smiled and gave a small and hollow laugh. "Hey, don't sweat it. I'm worried too. Gamora and my mom are sworn enemies. I've heard awful things about Gamora's kids. I can't even begin to imagine what things they might have heard about us." Comet motioned to Meteor, who was absorbed with doing something to his gun.
Universal nodded. Comet's words made sense. They had heard so many stories about the Guardians and their children. And they were the good guys! Who could say for sure all the awful things the Guardians had told their kids about Universal and her friends, who were the bad guys. "I guess I'm just worried about meeting the people we've only heard mentioned in curses and revenge plans."
Comet nodded then all of a sudden her eyes lit up. "I know what will make us feel better!" She exclaimed. Comet pulled her headphones off her head and started fiddling with the MP3 player mounted on the side. "Here." She said, lowering the volume on the headphones and and slipping them on Universal's head.
"What are you doing Comet?" Universal asked, as some cheery and upbeat trumpets assaulted her ears. "This sounds happy!?" She complained.
Comet smiled and winked. "Just you wait." Universal listened harder and the trumpets vanished, replaced with heavy drumbeats and a guitar.
Are you ready? Ha!
It's time for me to take it
I'm the boss right now
Not gonna fake it
Not when you go down
Cause this is my game
And you better come to play"What song is this?" Universal asked, liking the beat and liking the words very much.
"Confident by Demi Lavato. She's my favorite singer if you haven't noticed!" Comet smiled and leaned back so she could hear the music as well.
I used to hold my freak back
Now I'm letting go
I make my own choice
Yeah I run this show
So leave the lights on
No, you can't make me behaveUniversal knew how much Comet like music. Demi Lavato, Taylor Swift, Charlie XCX, Bea Miller, Fifth Harmony, even Ariana Grande! Comet would listen to anyone!
