Universal's POV
Period 8 seemed to drag on the longest. It was taught by both Peter and Gamora, and even the hero kids had to take it! Like, why would the good kids need to learn how to be heroes? All was answered with the first question.
"Okay," Gamora pointed with a ruler to the 3 questions written on the board in chalk. "You see a fight take place in the street. Do you A. Stop it. B. Join it. Or C. Ignore it?" All 4 of the Guardians kids hands went up. So did Universal's. She was getting used to the answers always being the less fun way of doing things.
Gamora called on Devin who promptly answered, "You join it, duh." Gamora put her head into her hand. A long and loud sigh escaped her lips.
"Anyone else?" She asked, head still in hand. She pointed the ruler around and all the kids put their hands down.
"Dang it! I was gonna pick that one!" PJ muttered. Gemma and Bomb nodded in agreement. Universal still kept her hand up.
"Yes, Universal." Gamora said, a pleading look flashing over to Star-Lord, who was trying and failing not to laugh.
"The answer is A. Stop it." Universal answered as politly as possible.
"That's correct. Again." Star-Lord said. He smiled the usual dorky Peter Quill smile. "You think more like a hero then a villain, Universal. Nice!" He turned back to the board and Universal went back to sketching a picture of the three infinity stones.
"How do you do it?" Aster whispered in her ear. His voice rattled through her ear and sent her body shuddering. It was like having someone whisper into your ear while blowing air into it loudly. So likewise, Universal jumped a little, grabbing the ends of the desk in a death grip.
"Don't do that!" She hissed through gritted teeth. Her pulse slowed down and she took a long calming breath. Aster just held back a chuckle. "So what do you want?" She asked after she had calmed down.
"I wanted to know how you keep getting all the answers right. Like, how?" Aster asked. Universal felt like punching him. Couldn't he see that she was picking the boring answers?
"Just pick the one that sounds like no fun." Universal replied. Aster nodded.
"That makes sense." Then he turned around and whispered it to the rest of the villains. Universal rolled her eyes.
It's no use if we all fail though. She reminded herself.
"So next question." Peter took over. With a sweeping motion he pointed the ruler at the was question marked with a 2. "You find illegal substances!" He called in a dramatic voice. "Do you A. Sell them on the Black Market! B. Leave them there! C. Turn them over to the authorities. Or D. Toss it into the fountain?" All the villains hands went up.
Meteor was raising his hand the highest but Aster grabbed it and held it down. Meteor struggled to get it up again but Aster was way stronger. Peter called on Korey, surprising, considering that he was barely raising his hand above his shoulders. Korey smiled smugly in Aster and Meteors direction as they both gave him a snide glare, Meteor still struggling in the handhold Aster had on him.
Wimp. Universal thought.
"The correct answer is C. You turn it over to the authorities." Korey answered, mocking the politeness from Universal's voice.
"Showoff's." Gemma muttered. Comet just waved her hand at a slight angle toward the villains and grinned like she had won the lottery. Gemma returned the smile with a cheesy magazine cover one.
