You and Suhoon had been friends for a while. A long while. Childhood friends, to be a little more precise. So there shouldn't be anything you don't know about each other, right?

Well, kind of...

You see, you sort of had feelings for him...

I know. Typical 'I fell in love with my best friend story'. Cue Jason Chen's 'Best Friend'.

Did Suhoon know? Of course not :D :/

Did he have feelings for you? Hmm, it was hard to tell. But let's say he was there for you when you were down, knew all the things you enjoyed and even remembered your birthday.

Still, you were quite unsure. I mean, anyone could do those things. And what if he was like that to others, besides you?

Nah. Not really possible. You knew he was the shy guy that every girl found a tad bit cute. You just found him a lot cuter than other guys. 

He obviously didn't know that, but what happens when he spots you with another guy? Another guy you were acting relatively close to. 

One day, you decided to go on an outing with Hyuncheol. After Suhoon, Hyuncheol knew you better than anyone else. But unlike Suhoon, you had a different relationship with Hyuncheol. 

You two decided to go shopping. It wasn't as fun as going with Suhoon, but he was busy. 

Busy getting you a gift. Not for any exact reason, but he saw that you liked this particular item, so he wanted to gift it to you. You know, the 'for fun' kind of gift.

But his bubbly heart ended up popping the moment he saw you with Hyuncheol. He had seen this guy before, met him very briefly too. He knew Hyuncheol had a good personality, and there was no doubt in the looks department of this kid. 

While thinking this, however, he felt a little sting in his chest. He had never felt like such. Could it be possible, that you we're the only one he felt like this towards? The thought of you with another guy, it  may have bothered him once or twice before.                                            

But this time, for some odd reason, he felt more, protective, competitive, you could say. What was this peculiar emotion he was experiencing?

Was this what people called, jealousy? Why did it look like you could hang out with another guy with so much enthusiasm? Was he not the only guy you acted like this around?

Okay, maybe that was a little selfish. But he couldn't help his little friend called human emotion.

Neither did he dare bother you while you were having a good time with Hyuncheol. He wasn't that kind of person.

He'll just let it go. For now, that is...

But that plan was fast to fall-through when a little later, Hyuncheol spotted him at a cafe, in what looked to be deep thought. To make things worse, you decided it was a good time to go say hi to him. 

Well, that wasn't the best decision you ever made. Because the moment you two entered the cafe, he looked up and meet your eyes, regretting it immediately. He didn't want either of you to think he was upset, so he plastered on a smile and waved subtly.  

While Hyuncheol ordered beverages, you headed to where Suhoon was seated. After a little "hello" and "hi there", you sat opposite him. The atmosphere wasn't exactly uncomfortable, but you couldn't sense that usual happy-go-lucky aura that you normally got from him. 

"Suhoon-nie, are you alright?" you had to ask him. He just gives you a wearisome nod that concerns you. 

Hyuncheol gets to the table and hands you yoir drink. You noticed Suhoon's expression to be even more tense than before. Did he not like Hyuncheol? Because that would be rather rude...

You start of with introducing the boys to each other. When Hyuncheol offered his hand, Suhoon took and shook it heedfully. This was definitely not Suhoon's usual happy-go-lucky character. What was up with that?

When Hyuncheol brought up that fact that they have met before, it surprises you. So why was Suhoon acting so salty, if he knew Hyuncheol was nice?

"So hyung, what's your relationship with (y/n)?" he asked. You felt your heart crack a little when he says 'just friends'.

"Really? Because from how much she talks about you all the time, it doesn't seem like you're 'just friends'," Hyuncheol had to touch on. Great, now your crush is going to think you're extremely creepy now...

But really, Suhoon's spirits were elevated from hearing that. And he grinned when he saw you cover your face in embarrassment. It was kind of cute to him :)

And that was enough for him to ignore those salty feelings for a while so you three could have a decent conversation. And then came the subject of "how did you two know each other?" by Suhoon.

"Oh, it's nothing big. (y/n)'s my cousin," Hyuncheol answers. And that one sentence was enough to release the weight off Suhoon's shoulders.

You noticed it too. How cheery he seemed after Hyuncheol said that. Maybe that reaction would be enough to conclude how he felt towards you.

Well, you we're about to find out. Ever so 'coincidentally', Hyuncheol had to go. So that left you and Suhoon. What a convenient time to finally find out how you about each other felt for the past few years, with a little chat that went a little something like :

"(y/n), what would you do if I asked you to be my jagi?"

"Depends. Are you being serious?"

"Very."

"I would answer 'of course oppa. I would love to be your jagi.' Would you be mine?"

"Are you serious?"

"Very."

"Then yes. Gladly, actually," as he took your hand on the table in his.

And then began the beautiful relationship between you and Suhoon :) :D
