His P.O.V
I waited outside the mall for her. We were childhood buddies and over the years, I guess I developed what people would call a 'crush' on her.
She's never known though. She would always accknowledge me as her 'best friend' whenever she introduced me to anyone. I wanted to break that 'best friend' barrier, but I guess I have to blame the fear of rejection for not speaking up.
Besides, I don't get to see her very much nowadays, since I'm busy in NU'EST. Plus, she's got a boyfriend. Well, a new boyfriend every time I see her...
Now don't get me wrong. I'm only able to meet with her every once in a very long while...
So, why am I meeting her today? To help her get over her previous breakup. She didn't sound too upset when she called me about it, and I do hope she isn't.
"Minhyun-nie~" her familiar voice rang pleasantly in my ears. Although, I couldn't really say the same for her outfit...
A black, tight miniskirt and shirt that barely covered her collarbone and shoulders. I shuddered. She strutted in sky-high heels and a face caked with make-up. How on Earth was she actually comfortable in all of that?
She didn't look like the sweet, innocent girl she was years ago. Actually, her style had changed over time. Her clothes got smaller and thinner and overall, just got worse at doing what clothes were supposed to do.
She headed towards me and threw her arms around my neck. All I could do for now was hug her. I notice a couple of guys eyeing and pointing at us. I do hope they're not targeting her.
She released me and grabbed my wrist, saying "Kaja~" in an excited manner while pulling me into the mall. She still had that little girl innocence that I thought was charming.
We walked about, catching up on interesting life events. I found out the reason she broke up with her previous boyfriend :
She didn't want to do 'it' with him.
Ugh, it's always the same thing. This is always the reason.
In my opinion, it's not her fault. If she isn't ready, why force her? It's a good thing she broke up with those, how do I say it politely, bad guys then.
After a while, she pulls me into a shop. It was one of those major brands that everyone seemed to love and need.
We browsed through the mannequins and racks of different clothes. Majority of the customers were women, so I end up hearing a lot of "she's so lucky to have a boyfriend like him" and "I wish I were her".
Well then. However, from the men sitting by the cashier and dressing rooms, I felt more of a "poor fella" vibe.
I took notice of the fashion nowadays. Looks like women officially forgot what the purpose of clothes was...
"Oppa, what do you think of this?" I heard (y/n) finally say. She was holding a hanger with - what I thought was a child's shirt - hanging from it.
"No oppa, it's a crop top," she corrected me. Well, that's a very cropped top... It would have barely covered her chest...
I shook head, but that wouldn't stop her. She found the smallest size she could find and went to the changing room.
I mean, what is it with women's fashion? Something I can't place a finger on.
After some time, she's out again, and I see the top in her hands. "I'm getting this one," she states.
And I wasn't one to agree with that decision. But how could I stop her? I didn't want her to think I was against her choices. She would hate me.
And after looking around a little more, she paid for the top. Was this the definition of a fashionable lady? Someone who wore so little for the sake of fitting into the preferences of society?
We continued walking around, hopping from store to store. It was mostly window shopping, and reviewing nearly every item of clothing there was to review.
Her talk, her smile, her laugh, it didn't changed. Actually, nothing had drastically altered about her personality. She was still the same person I hanging out with. The same person who made me fall in love for the first time.
And what should you do for the ones you love?
Tell them the truth.
And in case you were wondering, I wasn't going to straight up tell her that I hated her current style. That would be kinda rude...
Instead, I brought her into a clothes store I thought looked quite nice.
"Oppa, why are we in a onesies store?"
Yeah. A onesies store. But what other place could I drag her to - without her looking at other irrelevant pieces that won't help me prove my point.
She was wondering around the store like a lost deer. While she did that, I found a onesie that would definitely make her look cute.
"Is it supposed to be an elephant?" she questioned. A blue one, to be precise. Besides, who wouldn't look amazing in a blue elephant onesie?
Well, maybe me... But (y/n) will definitely rock it! :D
She gave my offer a go and headed to the changing cubicle. While I was picking one for myself, I heard her call me.
And when I turned around, my jaw dropped. Literally. I couldn't believe how adorable (y/n) looked in the onesie!
Although, she was covering her face with her hands. She must be embarrased, with that tint of pink on her cheeks. It just made her cuter :)
And I just had to say that out loud... And very conveniently as well, she heard that...
But she didn't run away. Instead, she said "thank you," and I walked closer to her. I ended up taking her hands in mine and whispering "you look gorgeous."
"I wish you wore this all the time," I continued, "you look better in it than all the other things you got."
She looked at me questionably.
"Please don't wear revealing clothes anymore. Because in my eyes, you look the best in things like this."
"Minhyun-nie, are you trying to say something?"
"I want you to be mine and mine only."
[~Much cheese, such why. This is so greasy I'm not use to it XD But yeah. Why am i so slow D: (*school! I swear!*) Till the next time I write~]
