I was alone in the dance room. Dancing was my secret passion that not a lot of people really knew about. It was something I wanted to hide, pretty much because a retarded penguin could dance better than me.

I could dance in my bedroom at home, but I was waiting for my parents in the dreaded place called school. Besides, my room was no where near as spacious as the dance room.

The dance teacher knew this secret, so she kept it that way and gave me a spare key so that I could use the room when I wanted to. I mostly used after school though, when almost everyone headed straight back home.

I started by plugging my phone to the speaker and setting my music on shuffle mode. This felt almost like an everyday thing, since both of my parents worked till pretty late and didn't like the fact of me at home alone.

This soon lead to my parents' friends having to send me back with them, since we were neighbours. I wasn't very close to their son, so majority of the rides were made of awkward silence between us.

All I knew was that he was the same age as me and he was known as J-Hope in school. He was part of the popular clan of the school. Of course, I was that weird girl who was completely out of his league.

When (your favourite song) starts playing, I start to move. My body naturally follows the catchy beat of the song that was stuck in my head since who knows when. I try to follow the dance steps to some of their music videos, but end up with random moves on my own.

After moving to about five songs, I take a quick break. The break ends the second I recognised a song by G-Dragon starting.

As if by nature, I start acting as if I was in the music video for that song. Even if it was a song that was released without a music video, I imagine it in my head and start dancing to it.

After around three songs by the same singer had played, I decide sit down and take another break.

"That was some pretty good dancing there," I'm startled by a voice that wasn't mine. I turn my head to the door to find a surprising visitor.

"J-Hope! What are you doing here?" I say in astonishment. He sits next to me and explains that he just finished some after school project and heard music from down the corridor. Turns out, he likes G-Dragon too!

"Hey (y/n), you can dance, you know. You have to dance at the school's festival at the end of the year!" he excitedly claims. I shake my head in utter disagreement. I enjoyed dancing, a lot, but never did I think of sharing it.

"Don't worry, maybe I could help you," he offers. At first, I didn't believe he could even dance. Until my phone plays (your favourite G-Dragon song). He immediately recognises the song and starts dancing to it.

His movements, fast and precise to every beat of the song. It was incredible to watch him dance. It was one of my favourite songs, making it seem even more amazing than it already was.

He walks up to my phone and puts the music on pause. Since it was on the table next to the mirror, I glance at myself quickly and notice that mouth was slightly open. Great, now he was going to think that I'm disgusting...

He also noticed my mouth was open, so he rushes to me and puts his hand on my chin, making myself close my mouth. "Don't worry, that was my expression watching you dance. Could you show me again?" he coolly requests.

Without an answer, he pulls me up anyways and goes over to my phone. I hear the song he was dancing to start playing again. For now, it didn't matter that someone was watching me, it was my favourite song and I will dance to it.

He lets me dance in until the songs ends. When it does, he pauses the music on my phone again and starts clapping with a dazed expression.

He repeats the fact that I can dance and should perform at the school's festival multiple times. After I decline almost all the compliments, he finally says "I'll be there with you, so do it. Please," he requests cutely. Again, I shake my head.
