Let's start out with the basics. He was popular, you weren't as popular, but still a pretty cool human being :)

And of course, the both of you were in the same class. Even better, the both of you sat next to each other! Oh, how jealous the other girls were of you :3

Especially since the two of you hadn't very much in common :1

Until of course, that one faithful day - he wasn't entirely sure on this question about (whatever you fancy :D) And being the kind human being you were, you offered to explain to him before the teacher could arrive.

However, he couldn't quite catch what you were saying. And before he could pull the remark of "are you trying to rap?", the teacher had arrived and told the class to, how do I put this kindly, please stfu :1

But then again, your class was particularly noisy, so you could understand your teacher's reaction. And being the decent student you were, you obeyed their instructions.

But for some odd reason, Hyungsik just couldn't seem to wait until the end of the lesson to speak to you again. So he tore off the last page of his notebook as quietly as he could and wrote in the first line of the page.

Were you trying to rap earlier?

Then he slid the paper to your side, where you were also half-heartedly listening to your teacher. He noticed your reaction to his little remark, and smiled when he saw that you too were writing a little something on the paper :D

Well, shall I audition to be an idol?

He smirked at your sense of humour, glancing at your side to find a playful grin while you were taking down notes. Again, he wrote on his paper, this time asking about what you said earlier.

He passed it to you. You smiled. He smiled at your smile. So you went on to write an answer to his question.

"(y/n), please answer my question," you heard a firm voice say. You looked up from the paper to find your teacher with a cross look on their face while the rest of the class was looking in your direction. 

When you didn't answer right away, they just looked at you with this disappointed look, sighed and continued by asking someone else the question. Hyungsik, on the other hand, had guilt in his eyes and mouthed "sorry" in your direction. You shook it off, it wasn't like it was really his fault anyways.

Oh but he definitely felt like it was all his fault. So he tore out another page as quietly as he could and wrote on it before passing it to you.

Again, a little grin formed on your lips. Looks like Park Hyungsik was popular for the right reasons :D

He too smiled at what you had written :) And that was when your teacher thought it would be a convenient time to look in his direction and say "may I ask, what's so amusing Mr Hyungsik?"

Dumbfounded, he shoved the paper in his hand as fast as he could into his desk and just said that it was nothing. But of course, the teacher just had to walk up to his desk and try to pry at the bit of paper Hyungsik was smiling at.

"Stop wasting paper," the teacher read aloud. Some of the students snickered while some just rolled their eyes at the nuisance.

"Mr Hyungsik, I'd advise you to do the same if your were using paper for anything else but my subject." You couldn't help but roll your eyes at the matter, as well as shot an apologetic look in Hyungsik's direction. He noticed, and gave a little shrug that supposedly ment that it wasn't a big deal.

With that being said, the bell finally goes off and the teacher dismisses the restless students. You were almost done packing your bag when Hyungsik asks, "you don't really like (le' teacher) either, do you?"

To be frank, you didn't. But really, you only didn't like how they sometimes treated their students. If you were to put that fact aside, that human being could probably be a good teacher.

"Hmm, that's interesting. Everyone else usually says (again le' teacher) is really boring and mean," he says. Then you reason that some students were just not interested in the lesson in the first place :/

Then strikes a conversation between you and him about some teachers and some lessons and by the time you got to the school gates, you just remembered that he had asked you a question before that last lesson began. Then you apologise for wasting the paper he handed to you after realising that it wasn't in your pocket or in your bag.

Yet again, he says it's wasn't a big deal, and then suggests, "to save paper, why don't we meet up at a cafe later? We could study together!"

You naturally agree to that plan and in case you hadn't already, exchanged phone numbers! And that was the moment neither of you could wait for that 'study date' to come around :)
