Chapter Twenty
Adele sat on her bed flipping the pages to her journal, at least two pages with each guy. She had one page of good things and another page of things she could do without. She sighed reading through each one, another page to separate the weeks.
Closing the journal she stretched out her legs flopping herself on the bed just staring at the ceiling. Today was really nice, she got a break from the men and it was beautiful weather. She honestly felt like locking herself in the room and do whatever.
Adele slid off her bed going to her doors to open the curtains letting the sunlight in. She opened the doors to her balcony feeling the fresh air fill her room. She stepped out towards the railing to see John and Charlie throwing a football.
She smiled seeing them talk like good friends, just having an enjoyable time doing a simple activity. The two most calm collected guys were just hanging out. She leaned against the railing watching the two of them.
Then Harrison joined them as they threw in a triangular pattern. Adele chuckled seeing them compete with each other with how they threw it. She noticed how they just talked with not a care in the world.
Shawn jogged to intercept the ball as the rest of the guys laughed. Adele chuckled at that, Shawn was just as involved as everyone else. Then Dylan walked out as John threw the football in his direction.
Dylan smiled keeping the flow of the group. She continued leaning on the rail feeling the wind breeze through her hair. Next Wyatt jogged out playfully shoving Charlie out of the way. Right now she was falling for each one of these guys.
She also found the way they interacted with other people a quality she was looking for. That's something the future king needed to have, to be able to connect with people. She needed the man she chose to make them a power couple.
Damien and Hudson walked outside as Adele watched them shrug and join the group. She really wondered what these guys did while she was on her own time. Looks like they did what normal guys did.
"Hey princess!" Wyatt shouted up at her. She shifted her head in the direction of his voice, she didn't know they could see her.
Adele waved down to them leaning up against the rail. The guys continued throwing the football while she smiled. "Come join us!" Charlie shouted while she shook her head.
"Come on!" Wyatt yelled up at her.
Adele chuckled waving her hands telling them to wait for her. She quickly changed into her baseball tee, jeans, and sneakers. Pulling up her hair up into a ponytail she headed down the stairs.
Opening up the doors she felt the fresh air hit her face. Hudson ran up to her as he scooped her into his arms to carry her to the group. She chuckled steadying herself on her feet. John laughed when she made eye contact with him.
She knew he remembered when she played sports with the guys in training. Dylan handed her the football while she tossed it in her hands. "John!" She shouted. "Ready?"
John nodded starting to jog away from her. Adele threw the football in his direction which he caught with ease. "Whoa princess you have an arm" Harrison said. She laughed and noticed there were no cameras rolling, no camera crew, nothing.
That made her so extremely happy, she could get to know these guys on her level. "You guys want to play?" She smiled when John tossed her back the ball.
"Sure" Shawn chuckled while they split into two groups. "Alright princess ready when you are"
Adele lined up with John, Harrison, and Dylan. She winked at Damien telling him to just run. She backed up aiming right at Wyatt, within seconds Adele threw the football while Oliver caught it to be tackled by Charlie.
She laughed watching Charlie help him up. Adele really liked this, she was seeing how much these guys cared about each other. It had only been a couple of weeks but they seemed to be making friends.
The only sad part about all this was she would be the one to separate all of them. She sighed not really wanting to pick one but leave it to her grandfather to make the rules. Hudson came up behind her planting a kiss on her cheek.
Charlie had the football in his hands when he tossed it to Shawn. Adele smiled fixing the hair out of her face. She caught John's gaze staring right at her. Charlie tossed the football to her as she started running away from the guys.
She squealed hearing Dylan right behind her, she could never run away from guys. They were just way too fast compared to her. Dylan caught up to her in no time when he wrapped his arms around her spinning her while she held onto the football.
"Nice try" he whispered into her ear laughing. Adele didn't know what it was but she got chills down her spine when he touched her. Dylan set her on the feet placing a soft kiss on her neck.
Harrison had the football next so he threw it to Evan. John started to run after him while Shawn began jogging. These guys were in shape, Adele chuckled chasing after the rest of them.
She watched as Shawn took Evan down. Both guys laughed helping each other up and Charlie shook off the dirt. Adele did have to admit this was a lot of fun, no cameras, no facade. She saw Hudson and Harrison talking and enjoying themselves.
"Princess!" John yelled right before she noticed the football heading her way. She caught it just in time from hitting Wyatt.
Adele squealed seeing John running right towards her. She took off towards the bushes hearing him catch up, now she knew with him he would be able to get her. Keeping the football close to her she jumped over the bush looking behind her to see him right on her still.
John laughed taking one last step to tackle Adele to the ground. She laughed wrestling him for the football, she forgot how strong he was. He pinned her between him and the ground beginning to tickle her to get her to release the football.
She looked around noticing how far they got from the group. Adele saw his eyes glance from her eyes to her lips. His hair fell into his eyes so he ran his hand through it to keep it away. She saw him debating whether to kiss her or not.
Adele tossed the football to the side reaching up to press her lips against his. She felt him relax leaning more into her. John slowly pulled away planting another kiss on her forehead.
"You are so beautiful" he whispered causing her to smile. Getting himself up he held out his hand helping her stand on her feet.
"There you are" Harrison laughed lifting Adele up over the bush.
Adele had to admit it was nice to have someone care for her. Not in the financial, dependent way but just to have someone there for her. She walked back over to the group watching the guys dust themselves off.
"Princess! A phone call for you!" Bill called from the house. Adele nodded feeling Damien place a kiss on her cheek. Then John, then Harrison, next Wyatt, then Hudson, next Charlie, then Dylan, then Oliver, next Evan.
Finally Shawn placed the last kiss on her cheek while she headed inside. She heard the guys continue to throw the football around. Honestly she wanted this day to be without all the men but she had a lot of fun. Well here comes another week of dating....
