Chapter Ten
Adele closed up her journal just sitting in the quiet of her room. She had gone through two dates with ten more to go for this round. Today was Dylan and Harrison, two men she wasn't really familiar with. Her date with Dylan was in about an hour and she was already to go.
She secured her door behind her as she made her way into the library. It was possible she would find one of the men in there but more than likely they were playing video games. Sliding open the door to her library she took out one she had been trying to read for weeks now, Luxe.
It was a simple series that a new author had written. Adele had to admit it was almost like she was reading her own life story but the characters in this were so complex and she loved it. With the book in her hand she plopped down on the couch reclining to read.
A few chapters in she glanced at her watch seeing only twenty minutes left until she was to meet Dylan. Now Dylan was not one of her favorites, he seemed way too interested in looks for her but she was willing to give him a shot.
She closed up her book hearing footsteps outside the door, it sounded like whoever it was kept pacing back and forth. Adele made her way over to the door seeing Charlie nervously walking one way then turning on his heel to walk the other way.
"Charlie?" she spoke up coming to meet him when he made his way towards her. "Is something wrong?"
Charlie's brown eyes met her blue ones quickly. "I uh I'm trying to um-"
"What is it?" she softly asked tilting her head to the side.
"My sister is having a baby" he sighed, "I really wanted to be there for it but I'm doing this and I can't"
"When is she due?"
"A couple of days by now"
Adele's face light up watching his eyes sparkle talking about his new little niece or nephew. "Charlie I'm sure we could work something out so you can be there"
"Really?" he asked as she nodded. "Wow you don't know how much that means to me. Thank you princess" he said pulling her into a hug.
"Well I know I wouldn't want to miss that either so go on, celebrate your sisters baby. I'll arrange everything"
Charlie kissed her forehead as he headed off to pack his things up for a few days. Adele knew it was in the rules to not allow them to see or speak to their families but this was his sisters baby for goodness sakes! After all she did have the final say in what happened.
Adele continued walking down the hall to the stairs to see Shawn and Dylan standing at the bottom. Well at least he was on time, she took one last deep breath before descending down the steps. She had to admit Dylan was handsome, all of the men were but he was a different type of handsome.
Dylan smiled as she slowly approached them making Shawn glance up at her. She decided to wear something simple for her date with Dylan since he didn't seem like the preppy type. Adele chose a simple white blouse paired with a turquoise skirt and her white heels.
Shawn linked her arms with his as she put on a smile for the cameras. "Good morning princess"
"Good morning Shawn, Dylan"
"Good morning Adele" Dylan smiled discreetly looking her up and down. "You look lovely"
"Thank you"
"Princess" Shawn spoke up drawing both of their attention to him. "Ready for date number three?"
"Yes I'm looking forward to it"
Dylan gently took her hand as he led her out to the limo. It was honestly amazing how much different she felt with him instead of Damien or John. She didn't feel that spark or connection between them.
Adele let him hold open the door for her as she slid into the back seat. Dylan climbed in next to her as he checked out the limo, he had probably never seen a car like this before. A quick kiss on her temple and Dylan pulled out a picnic basket.
He smiled while she turned to face him, maybe this guy wasn't so bad. He did deserve a fair chance just like the rest of them. Adele started to smile seeing that look on his face, that smile was contagious. The car pulled to a stop causing Dylan to hop out, round the corner, and open up her door.
Dylan grabbed her small hands in his helping her out of the limo. She felt the breeze around her when she looked around, they were at the beach. One place Adele loved, she would come here all the time to think or just relax.
Adele's lips turned up showing Dylan she was pleased. "Come on" he chuckled tugging her towards the ocean. She laughed letting him drag her before he handed over her swim suit.
Within minutes Adele changed into her bathing suit making her way back over to Dylan who set up their area. He had a sheet laid out to sit on, an umbrella to shade them, and food to snack on.
"This is gorgeous" she smiled as Dylan patted the spot next to him. She plopped down watching the waves crash on the sand and the birds fly.
"I'm glad you like it" Dylan gently grabbed her hand in his rubbing his thumb across her knuckles. Again Adele was amazed how much a simple touch could do. He leaned over pressing his lips against her shoulder as she gasped, he chuckled causing chills to go up her spine, his laugh was kind of cute.
She let herself relax into his touch enjoying the way both the sun and his lips felt on her skin. It had been a long time since she was with a guy and they never did anything like this. Adele knew this was a bad idea dating twelve men, she hardly had any experience with romance.
Wait until the episodes aired on television, she was hoping they would cut out the embarrassing scenes. "Adele relax" he whispered into her ear as she nodded, just because the camera crew was right there didn't mean they had to spoil this. She felt his lips move up on her neck causing her to let out a quiet moan.
Adele knew Dylan was only into the physical aspect from his interview but she was enjoying this. She liked the idea of having someone to just mess around with, no awkward conversation, no real feelings developing between them. Adele already made up her mind Dylan wasn't for her but why not have some fun for once?
She moved away from him causing him to lift his face then she crashed her lips onto his. Dylan quickly grabbed her waist pulling her into him making Adele squeal. He laughed as they pulled apart, Adele's cheeks were slightly pink. She couldn't believe she just did that, she practically threw herself at him.
Dylan rolled her on her back hovering over her as their lips connected again, Adele felt him lay between her legs as his tongue licked her lips. Okay maybe this wasn't the most horrible plan, she was getting something out of it too. Dylan groaned when his tongue found hers, Adele honestly missed this feeling.
One way to relax at a day at the beach, a very hot guy taking you out, perfect weather, and finally feeling like she was in control of this show.So that's how they spent the rest of their date, getting used to the feel of each other's lips, little did Dylan know her plan.
