"Cis."
"Hmmm?"
"Why does the Doctor only want to find Time Lords? Why not all Gallifreyans? I mean, Time Lord is just a title. Explain," I pointed my finger at him as I lazily slid down my chair. The police scanner was playing at low volume in the background as Cisco and I played catch.
Cisco chuckled, "We're such nerds. Speaking of nerds, where is Barry?" He tossed the ball over my head. I held up my hand and caught it, a glow appearing around it. The burning that plagued my eyes before was beginning to die down. A golden aura surrounded the ball as I brought to me before I tossed it back at Cisco.
"No idea. I think he said he wanted the night off. Can't see a reason why he shouldn't." Cisco and I tossed the ball a few more times and discussed Doctor Who theories. That is until a cop came on the scanner calling in a code 245.
"Stolen vehicle," I said quietly, holding the ball in my hand. The cop said she was in pursuit and was requesting back-up to catch the stolen yellow Humvee.
I snorted, "What kind of douchebag steals in a yellow Humvee?" I asked Cisco as I went off to change. Cisco called out to me.
"Better question is who would buy one in the first place?" I laughed as I quickly tied my hair up and closed my eyes. A moment later, there was a screeching of tires and sirens wailing. I held on to the dashboard until the driver recovered from his shock.
"What the f-"
"Ah ah ah," I said, wagging my finger. "Language. Now why don't you pull over and we can talk this out. Mostly cause I need to know, why a yellow Humvee?" I looked behind me to see another police car had joined the one already in pursuit. I turned back as the guy made a left turn. Two police cars blocked off the street as well as a silver car. I saw a kid walk out into the street. I yelled for the guy to stop, but he seemed to hit the gas. Just before I closed my eyes, a streak of lighting pulled the kid away to safety. Barry was here.
I opened my eyes as the cops started firing at the car. A bullet came in through the window and hit the guy straight in the forehead. And it bounced off of him. I held my hands up to create a shimmering forcefield that protected me from the bullets bouncing off of the guy. Parts of his body were turning silver. The guy yelled, turning completely metallic, when the bullets stopped and hit the gas. I turned my full attention to the police in front of me. I put my hands together and pulled them apart. The police cars parted like the Red Sea as the Humvee came flying through.
As the joyride continued, a sound of something breaking came from the driver's side. The guy and I turned our heads to see a man in red standing in front of a chain link fence. The car came screeching to a halt as I closed my eyes and landed by Barry's side.
"Step out of the vehicle!" Barry yelled. I finally got a good look at the guy as he stepped out of the car. He was tall, well-muscled, and look like the kind of douchebag that would have bought the Humvee. As he got out, he ripped the door from its hinges and threw it at Barry. Barry dodged it and it lodged itself into the fence.
"Rude!" I called out. The blond chuckled. Barry raced over and tried to punch the guy. But the man's face turned to metal and a sickening crunch came from Barry. As Barry held his hand in pain, the blond turned his whole arm and clothes-lined Barry. He sailed over the car's hood. The guy walked over to Barry and bent down and started talking to him.
In the meantime, I used my power to pull the car door from the chain link fence. I called out, "Hey you!" The guy turned and I threw the car door at him. It hit him hard in the face, giving Barry enough time to rush over to my side. I leaned into his ear.
"Run, Barry, I'll catch up," Barry nodded as he sped away. I turned back just in time to catch the car door before it hit me. I took it and focused on getting the open window area over the guy's body. Even with him charging toward me, I was able to get it on him. Once it was on, I made a fist and the door crushed around in body. He yelled in pain. I was able to get another door off of its hinges and wrapped that one around him as well. I hit my earpiece to call in.
