The sirens wailed as I sat in the backseat.

"We've got a 10-31 in progress. Shiny Diamond, 18th and Olive," the dispatcher said as Eddie drove after two car thieves. Joe sighed as Eddie said that the store was only a few blocks away.

"Do you guys want me to go ahead?" I asked. Joe started to call Barry as he gave a nod. It was the third attempted robbery that night and the police were spread thin. I smiled, closing my eyes and teleporting to the Shiny Diamond. I opened them again. I was standing near the back door of the place, in the main lobby. The two crooks were smashing the cases as they grabbed at the jewels. I let out a loud whistle to get their attention. "Hello boys."

"That's Hecate," the one yelled as he drew his gun. The other one followed suit. I lifted my hand as the two shot at me. The bullets stopped mid air between us until they ran out of bullets. I let go of the bullets. Small pinging noises filled the air when they dropped to the ground. I twirled my hands to me, closing them, and pulling them towards me. The guns flew from the robbers' hands and went into mine. I smiled at them as I threw up a force field around them. The two remained trapped as Eddie, Joe, and Barry came in through the back door.

"Nice work," Barry said, high fiving my free hand as he looked at the two trapped in the bubble.

I walked back with Barry to the woman in the body bag. The victim was a professor who just got tenure at Hudson University, Lindsay Kang. Joe and Eddie met us by her body. I winced slightly looking at the puncture wounds all over her.

"So, her whole body is covered in these puncture wounds you see on her face. Bite marks maybe. Whatever it was, she must have gone into anaphylaxis," Barry explained to them. Joe was as grossed out by what happened as I was. Eddie got pulled away as Barry said we would analyze the blood sample back at our lab.

"They can do it faster at S.T.A.R. Labs," Joe reminded us. Barry and I looked at Joe with hesitation until he realized what was holding us back. "You two know we have to play it cool with Wells. If he finds out we suspect him..."

"Okay," I agreed as I shoved my hands into my pockets. "But we should get Cisco and Caitlin to help us. Plus it isn't like Cisco doesn't already know."

Joe countered, "The more people who know, the more chance Wells is gonna find out we're on to him. I mean, what if one of them slips up? Or panics? What if they're not on our side?"

Barry and I both shook our heads. I continued, "They would never help Wells if they knew about him. They may care for him, but that doesn't make them loyal to a murderer."

"Wells is their boss, their mentor. They've been with him for a long time. I've seen plenty of people make the wrong choice for loyalty. Please do not include them until we can be sure," Joe waited until we agreed before looking at me. "And Rose, they may not know they are loyal to a murderer. You of all people-" I held up a hand to stop him.

"Don't you bring him up," I warned Joe. "Not like that. I know what he has done and I know what he will do in the future. But my loyalty lies here, not with Leo. Not like that."

..............................

"Death by apitoxin," Caitlin proclaimed as she came down the ramp into the main area of the cortex. Images of bees popped on the screen as I crossed my arms.

"Honeybee venom?"

"Bees," Cisco shivered as he stood next to me. "Why did it have to be bees? Y'all, I don't do bees. Ain't nobody got time for bees." I made buzzing noises until Cisco glared at me hard.
