"You are really adamant about no phones during date night," I said as I laid my head into the crook of Xiomara's neck. Her laugh made her whole body move as she wrapped her arm around my shoulder, pulling me in closer.
"Otherwise you just run off on me," she said. "I know we are in a casual open relationship, but it is still a relationship. Which means you need to stay during date night sometimes."
I sighed, "I'm sorry about that. But the city needs saving. I help put bad guys away."
"And I get that. My mom was a cop. But I need saving too," She whined. I pulled my head away from neck with a smile growing on my face.
"Well what do you need saving from, Xo?" I asked, raising one brow.
She rolled her eyes, "Just shut up and kiss me already."

"Dude, you are a crime-fighting lady-slaying machine," Cisco said as he congratulated Barry. "Unlike Rose here, who is just lady-slaying."
"Hey," I put my hands up. "Xo prefers the phone off during date night. It isn't easy for me to find a girl that gorgeous who can keep up with me and understands my job. The CSI thing not the superh-Barry, are you going to see Linda again?"
Barry nodded, okay with the change in topic back to him, "Yeah, we're going on another date tonight."
"Tonight? Really?" Caitlin asked. Cisco asked if Barry was worried about going too fast as we headed up the stairs to the upper floor of Jitters.
"No. What do you mean? It's a second date."
"No, no, no, no," Cisco said as we stopped on the first landing. "I meant going too fast, hurrying. Look, I mean, you're fast, but there's fast, and then there's fast. Am I being subtle enough?" I put my hand over my mouth to stifle my laugh.
"You're really not," Barry told him as we went up the next flight of stairs.
"Cisco's right," Caitlin agreed. "With your increased blood flow and increased heart rate, theoretically, your speed could cause you to..."
"Yes," I said. "But in Barry's defence, he does have super healing that could lead to-well-you know. And then his speed could be like a v-"
"And we are done discussing this," Barry's face blushing a bit. "Okay. It is just a second date."
"A second date?" A voice came from another table. We turned to see Iris getting up from her seat, grabbing her coffee, as she came over to us. "With who?"
"Uh, with Linda Park, The sports reporter." Cisco's phone rang and he went away from the group.
"That's great. Linda seems great, and you're great. So...Great."
"Hey Rose," Cisco handed me his phone, thanking him silently in my head for distracting me of the awkward moment. My eyebrows drew together as I took the phone from him.
"Hello?"
"Hi Rose," Joe's voice came over the line. "Can you come with Cisco? I need your help with Barry's mom's case."
"Yeah, of course. We're on our way," I told him, hitting the end on Cisco's phone screen. I handed him his phone. "Hey guys, Cisco and I gotta go."
"Everything okay? We just got here," Barry said. I nodded as Cisco pulled me away, saying goodbye again.
..............................
"Hey Joe," I called out as I closed the passenger door of the S.T.A.R. Labs van. Joe yelled back his greetings before he said hi to Cisco. Cisco asked what we were doing here.
