Chapter 9

Ross's Pov

It's been 2 days since Ellen got hit by the car. I've just been working a bit with the band and swimming in the pool. Today me and my family and Emma and Ellington are going to the park to play soccer.

We all got up at 10:30 and got changed. I got into a pair of board shorts and a tank top with flip-flops and sunglasses.

We went to the kitchen to eat breakfast, Mom had already made pancakes and we ate them, although I haven't been eating a lot recently because iv been so worried. We got into the mini van and drove to the park.

I sat in between Rocky and Riker and it only took around 15 minutes to get to the park. We ran into the park to the grass and started playing soccer. We played for about an hour and then I felt my phone vibrate from the pocket in my board shorts.

I picked it up and it was the hospital ... They said that Ellen would be able to leave the hospital later on today.

I tell everyone and we go back home. I grab my car keys and Riker and Rydel come with me to pick up Ellen. I grabbed her hoodie and we start driving to the hospital. Before we leave Rydel packs some clothes for Ellen to change into because the ones she was wearing before are blood stained.

When we get there I'm so happy to go into Ellen's room and pick her up. I get into her room and she's sleeping, I guess she doesn't know that she's going home today.

I gently shake her and she opens her eyes slowly, when she's fully awake I hand her the bag of clothes Delly packed for her and her hoodie for her to change into.

She comes out of the bathroom looking like her beautiful self again, even though he face and arms are slightly bruised.

I grab her bags and follow her out of the room, but we're stopped by a nurse ... Luckily she's just saying that I need to look after Ellen really well and that she could get dizzy and tired more easily than usual.

We thank the nurses and then walk out of the hospital hand in hand. It feels good to have her back because I know she got away, and if I hadn't have asked her to stay with me I'd never be the same.

We get into my car and drive back to the house, I look over at Ellen, who's sitting in the passengers seat, and she's got her thinking face on. I decide to not ask her now, after all she's been through. But I can't help thinking that this is my fault.

We sit in silence until we get back to the house, we're greeted by the others and I see Ellen's eyes start to close. I lifted her up and brought her up to her bed.

When I get upstairs I lay her down on her bed and lay beside her and she rested her head on my chest. I put my arm around her and we fell asleep together within minutes.

I honestly feel so happy when I'm around her, and when I'm not it's like I'm not whole.

Ellen's Pov

I wake up to Ross shaking me gently, we slept through the night in each other's arms, we both got changed in our own rooms and went down for breakfast.

It was French Toast, my favourite. When we finished Rocky was staring at the pool outside, Riker and Ryland jumped on him and they all ran upstairs to get their swimming trunks on.

Ellington and Rydel ran after them, closely followed by Ross who gave me a quick kiss before running upstairs.

I sat and chatted with Emma, Mark and Stormie for a while. Then I went upstairs to get a bikini on, it was a really sunny day today and I figured I'd make the most of it.

When I got upstairs I quickly got my bikini on and Rydel waited for me and we ran downstairs and outside to the pool.

Riker, Ryland and Rocky were both already in the pool but Ross and Ellington were sitting on the deck-chairs trying to get a tan. Rydel and I saw them and looked round at each other and knew exactly what we were both thinking.

We went into the kitchen and got an empty bottle each. Then we ran back outside and filled them up with pool water. Rydel used her fingers to count us down and then we soaked our Boyfriends with water.

They both got up, dried off a bit and ran towards us. They lifted us into their arms and threw us into the pool.

Ross's Pov

After I threw Ellen into the pool, I went away laughing like the hyper toddler I am inside. But I turned around, and Rydel was already above the water and laughing ... But Ellen wasn't anywhere to be seen.

All I could see was a blur of her body under the water ... My immediate reaction was to jump in and save her. I jumped into the pool and went down to the bottom.

I grabbed Ellen by the waist and brought her gently up to the surface. I swam quickly to the steps and gave Ellen to my dad who was already waiting to make sure she was alright.

I got myself out and grabbed the towel that Delly had ready for me. I wiped my eyes and saw Ellen, lying on the deck, still.

My dad checked her pulse and he had a very scared look on his face. I could feel tears starting to fill my eyes, was she okay?
