Chapter 5

Ross's Pov

When we got back to the apartment Mom was baking cookies with Rydel and Emma in the kitchen and the others were chilling at the pool.

I ask Ellen if she wants to come into the pool but she tells me that she's just going to watch us because she's quite tired.

I go and get my board shorts on and come back to the pool. It's warm because it's an indoor pool, and Ellen is at the side in a bikini giving out the cookies that Rydel, Emma and Mom made.

She gives me one and I kiss her on the cheek and eat it quickly and jump into the pool.

I want to try to get Ellen into the pool, so I pretend to drown. She stands up acting all heroic and jumps in.

Ellen's Pov

I jump into the pool and Ross lifts me onto his shoulders, he walks around for a few minutes and then moves me to his front and holds me around the waist while my legs are wrapped around him.

He looks me straight in the eyes and says, "I love you Ellen, I've never been so happy."

I tell him I love him too, because I really do, and he starts kissing me gently. It's our first kiss and I felt butterflies, the sparks are definitely there.

We kiss for a while and then I hug into him, I really do love him more than I ever thought I'd love anyone.

Riker's Pov

I was in the pool splashing my brothers when I saw Ellen and Ross kissing, I'm pretty sure it's their first kiss. They're such an adorable couple, it makes me miss Savannah a lot more than I did before.

She had to leave to go to England for a yoga job she's wanted for as long as I've known her. We tried for a while to have a long distance relationship but it was too difficult for both of us. I didn't want to let her go, but I know it's what she's always wanted and right now it's what's best for her

I've been finding it hard to move on. But I have to admit, Emma seems really nice and she's pretty too.

Anyway, Ross is really happy and he deserves it 100%. Courtney was really sweet but she was quite controlling.

We all finish up in the pool and go to get dried off, we put our pyjamas on and then go downstairs for supper.

Ellen's Pov

For supper we have milk and cookies, the fire is lit and we all sit around it eating them and drinking hot cocoa.

I'm lying across Ross's knee and I couldn't be in a better place. This family are amazing, they really make me feel welcome and I really hope they like me as much as they say they do.

Ross starts singing a few songs and the rest of them join in, it's a really incredible moment and after they've sang 5 or more songs, Ross asks me if I want to go up to bed.

I say yes because I'm quite tired and Rocky and Ryland are going up as well. Ross asks Stormie if it's okay if he sleeps in my bed and she says it's fine because she trusts us.

Rydel and Ratliff are going to sleep in Rydel's bed too, but they've gone out for a walk around the grounds of the hotel so me and Ross have the room to ourselves for an hour or so because Emma wanted to stay and talk to Riker.
