Chapter 21

Ross's Pov

We all woke up quite early and packed because we were leaving Northern Ireland at dawn the next morning.

Once we'd packed I told Riker to take Ellen and Emma out somewhere to distract them for a while so I could organize my surprise.

He decided to bring them to the closest frozen yogurt shop for a few hours so that gives me plenty of time to organize.

Emma's Pov

Ross is acting really weird today, I mean, weirder than he usually acts. Riker looked like he was keeping a secret, which was really obvious because he is awful at hiding things.

He drove us to a frozen yogurt shop and we got a tub of it each and sat down. I tried to get Riker to spill the beans about Ross's surprise but he wouldn't tell us.

When we finished, Riker told us to wait for him at the car so Ellen and I went to the car and waited. He took forever but when he came back he had a huge grin on his face and got into the driver's seat and told us to get into the back seats.

He drove us back to Ellen and I's old church, which is really exciting because we've both missed it and the people in it.

Riker told both of us to bring him into the main hall, which we did no problem. It feels amazing walking through the front door again for the first time in a while.

Ellen's Pov

We walked through the front door of one of my favorite places in Northern Ireland. Emma and I led Riker to the main hall and we were greeted by all of my best-friends from church and some of my friends from school, as well as both of our families.

I looked up on the stage and Ross was standing with a guitar and his usual cheeky grin on his face. He started to sing a song I'd never heard before.

He gestured for me to come onto the stage with him so the crowd made a path for me to walk through.

When I got onto the stage he looked me deep in the eyes and my heart fluttered the same way it did when I first met him.

When I'm with Ross the whole world around me stops. All the worries in my mind and problems I'm facing just go away like they never existed in the first place.

He means the world to me and this new song he's singing for me is one of the most perfect things I've ever heard.

His perfect hazel eyes glistened and stared deep into mine and I can feel the sparks between us that were always there and will never go away.

He sings with the most calm voice, so it made anyone listening to it get sucked in and I could barely move as he was singing directly at me with his perfect hair hanging slightly over his eyes.

He sang until the song was over and then grabbed me and gave me the classic Rossy hug that he always gives me when he's happy, or when he's sad. He hugs me a lot.

This is the most perfect thing he could've done for me, he's so thoughtful and no matter what he does he shows how much he cares about me and loves me.

He let go of me and Riker opened the doors to another hall which had tables of hamburgers, hot dogs, chicken nuggets and garlic bread on them. Everyone went and grabbed something to eat.

Ross and I sat at the edge of the stage with his arm around me and my head on his shoulder. He made this such an unforgettable night for me and I couldn't be happier.

Ross's Pov

When I'm with Ellen my heart races and I can barely control the butterflies inside of me. She just makes me so happy. No matter what happens between us she's always there for me, and she's the best girlfriend I've ever had and probably the best I ever will have.

The song I played for her was one I had written back in LA when she was still in the hospital because of the accident, I called it 'Hurts Good.' I wrote it for her because I wanted to show her how much she means to me, I just needed to find the perfect time to let her hear it.

We sat for a while longer and then I could see Ellen starting to get tired. We told everyone that we appreciated them coming and that it was time for everyone to go home.

Riker and I put the tables away in the tables and chairs away and Ellen and Emma finished washing the dishes. Riker and Emma drove to Emma's family home without us, because my surprise for Ellen wasn't quite over yet.
