Ross's POV

Even though Ellen is super tired because we've had a busy day, my surprises aren't over yet. Riker and Emma left us and went to Emma's house. What Ellen doesn't know is that we're going to be visiting her great grandmother today.

We made sure that the church hall was all cleaned up. We left and Ellen's gran, Patricia, picked us up from the church with her papa, Tom, and her mom, Gillian. Ellen is still completely clueless to what is happening but I know she'll love it.

We drove to her Nanny's nursing home, back in LA Ellen was always telling me and my family about how much she loves her nanny and how inspirational she is, which makes me really happy to get the chance to meet her, especially when she means so much to Ellen.

Ellen was resting her head on my shoulder in the back of the car and nearly falling asleep, she's so cute when she's tired. We drove down the long, spiraling road to the nursing home. As Ellen started to slowly open her eyes, she realized where we were. She sat up quickly and gave me one of the biggest, cutest grins I have ever seen in my life.

We pulled up to the front of the home and Ellen grabbed my hand and basically sprinted to the front door, her family quickly followed us. She went in and wrote in the sign in book, and she looked up at me, grabbed my hand again and brought me into the room where her nanny was sitting.

Her nanny was half asleep on an armchair at the front of the room, surrounded by other older ladies. As Ellen and I walked slowly closer to her, she looked Ellen up and down and her eyes started to light up as she realized who had just walked through the door.

Ellen's POV

My nanny has dementia, so it is always hard to see her in fear of her not remembering who I am, but of course it isn't her fault. In my family she only recognizes my gran and I without fail, which is really special to me.

I introduced Ross to my nanny, she said he was a 'very handsome young man,' which he is obviously, and she didn't seem to notice the age difference, which was nice. For once we could talk to someone and know for sure that they weren't judging us based on our ages.

We sat and spoke more to nanny for hours and then my family came back to join us. We decided that it was a lovely evening and that it would be a waste not to go on a walk along the coast. We got nanny into her wheelchair and started to walk. Ross and I walked hand in hand while my papa pushed the wheelchair, it was the perfect way to spend my last night in Northern Ireland.

We got an ice cream each beside the sea and then made our way back to the home. When we got back, we made sure nanny was comfortable and we said goodbye before getting into the car and leaving.

Emma's POV

We left Ellen and Ross at the church and went to my house, which was a five minute drive away. When we arrived we were greeted by my parents and we followed them into the living room. Riker looked really nervous but my parents have known for years that I fancied him like crazy. I get that the age difference is too much, but a big part of me thinks that our ages shouldn't get in the way of us being in a potential relationship.

Anyway, my dad got us drinks and my mum asked me to help her in the kitchen. She had made us my favourite dinner, steak and chips. We plated up the dinner and brought the plates to the dining table where my dad and Riker were already sitting. We sat and chatted while we ate our meal, and my parents got to know a lot more about Riker and the family I had been staying with for the past couple of months. They seemed to get on really well.

Before we knew it, it was time to go back to Ellen's house. I wouldn't see my parents for a while so I said goodbye to them and we left quickly, before I got too emotional.

Ellen's POV

We got back to my house and Ross and I said goodbye to my grandparents, again, and I wish I could say it gets easier the more I do it, but it doesn't. Being in LA with Ross and his family gives me so many incredible experiences and I love him, but I still miss my family and friends like crazy when I'm not with them.

Before they left, my gran asked to speak to me in private, which was weird but I followed her into the kitchen. She spoke quietly so no one would hear, and she told me something I thought I would never hear.

She said that the manager of my nanny's nursing home had called her when we first arrived back to my house and told her that there was a cheque left in the office of the nursing home with £10,000 written on it. Signed my none other than my amazing boyfriend, Ross Shor Lynch.
