Chapter 22

I sat reading my diary. Going through every entry, reading every word. I

stopped when I saw September 31.

Dear Diary,

I met someone really nice today. His name is Richard Sterling. He is amazing.

I could write a book on just his eyes. I think I love him. He's really nice to

me, he understands all thats going on with my friends. I think he likes me to.

I want to ask him out, but I don't know what to say.

I closed the book. Tears streamed down my face. I didn't realize it, but I still

love him. He was the only one who understood me. He was there for the

longest then any other guy, two years of my life he loved me. I wonder if he

still does, wherever he is. If he's still alive.

Dodge appeared in my thoughts. I love him to but I have known Richard

longer.  Dodge was amazing, and I could tell he liked me. But Richard is gone,

presumed dead by the authorities. So maybe Dodge is a better choice.

I sighed and threw those thoughts away. I'll deal with them later.

I walked out of the cabin to see all the pack, (Except Kyle, of course.) in a

circle around the fire. They all looked refreshed, and happier then before.

"Hi guys." I said to all of them.

They all answered me, saying hi, or hello. I smiled, happy that I was now a

part of them. I sat down next to Alex, and looked at the fire.

I had forgotten my obsession with fire, I had almost grown out of it. But as I

stared at the flames, something tugged at my stomach. It burned my insides,

to the point were I whimpered.

Fire had never done this to me before? It had always welcomed me.

Everyone was looking at me. I was fighting the burning in my middle. I

clasped my arms around me and breathed in and out till the pain decreased.

"What's 'amatter?" Alex whispered.

"Nothing. Just my stomach." I said.

"Okay, your probably hungry." He said with a smile.

I nodded. And looked around. Dodge was looking at me, concern in his eyes,

but everyone else was eating. Their eyes fixed on their plate.

I looked around. Night had come fast. It was pitch black when we all finished

our dinner.

I stood up and said. "Well I'm going in for the night."

"Same. Good night." Dodge said. He walked to his cabin, and Alex followed

him. Everyone left to their cabins.

When I was inside my cabin, I looked outside, satisfied that no one was out

there. I grabbed a sweatshirt and

I walked out, and straight into the forest, were I was welcomed with

darkness.
