After a change of perspective
Life seems so much different
I walk through the doors of highschool
Refreshed after a long break
Ready for a new semester
Goals in mind because it's a new year
And I find out
You and your girl are no more
And you compliment my hair
As blush rises to your cheeks
I like that
I like you
And then I walk into study hall
You invite me to an event at your church
As soon as I mention prom
Maybe I read into things too much
But will you consider taking me?
And lunch comes
I haven't seen you in years
Yet you invite me to the movies
I like how you tell me you are taking me
Instead of asking
And you smelled great
I didn't get the chance to tell you
Suddenly my life has opened up
To all these new chances
And opportunities
Just because I changed my outlook on life
But who will I choose?
