You ignite a nauseous swirl inside me
Gnawing away at my heart
My smile pulls at the edges of my mouth
And spreads across my face
Like a banner that says I love you
You are tattooed on the back of my eyelids
On my late night thoughts
The whispers I only hear
At three thirty two
Your name flutters and flicks through
My waking thoughts
And soars through my dreams
The feeling of my skin against yours
Is lightning brilliantly flashing across a dark sky
Electricity crackling
Anticipation heavily set in the air
You believe in me with everything I do
Your sweet words fuel my drive to achieve great heights
The way you absentmindedly touch me
Calms my soul
Like raindrops sliding down a window
Like the first breaths of morning
Like rocking chairs on porches
And glistening stars
Your subtlety engulfs me
Like a towering wave crashing down
Like the eye of a hurricane
And the swirl of a blizzard
Your aura
Leaves me awestruck and full of wonder
Like the northern lights
And polar ice caps
You are forces of nature and beautiful sights
You are subtle breezes and warm sunshine
I have yet to capture you
But darling, you have captured me-m.s.
