I often wonder
When you started noticing me
When I became something more
Than a peer, a stranger
When you started to take in details about me
They way I act
My social quirks
My outfits
When we started talking
You mentioned things
You wouldn't have known
Unless you have observed me
I think I fell for you
When you started to get over me
Timing always works against me
My timing is always wrong
I didn't realize how much I wanted you
Until you were slipping through my fingers
Like sand
My grasp wasn't tight enough
Every time I look at you
My gaze is filled with longing
I can't look at you as just a peer
I desperately wish you would realize
We could work
If you worked and I worked
But like always
I'm willing to work
And you are set in your ways
But gosh
I want you so bad
My ears burn red
Because I really think
We are meant to be
