"You work for him don't you," Merida spats out.
"Work 'for' him; no. But, I do fight along his side," I correct her.
"Same thing," Hiccup states.
"Not really. I'm not his slave."
"Then, who are you?!"
"Really, that again. My identity for me to know and for to find out."
"Then, let's find out right now."
"I doubt it."
The two narrow their gazes at me; they weren't going to back down. Those two were such a lovely pair; they were simply meant to be.
Merida tightens her grip on her bow, aiming it straight for my heart. I knew it was a matter of time until she was going shoot her arrow at me. Just as predicted, she releases her holding on the arrow, and the sharp object slices through the air in such lightning speed that no normal eye would've caught the weapon in time. Of course, a petty weapon wasn't going to scare me. As the arrow zips through the air, coming closer and closer to my heart, I merely stood in place, not moving a single muscle. But, before the arrow could even penetrate my skin, I was enveloped in a puff of black smoke, consuming both me and the arrow. Once the smoke cleared, I was nowhere to be seen. I disappeared from their sight. Then, while the trio stood there dumbfounded, I reappeared right behind them, holding the arrow in between my index and middle finger.
"You really should watch where you shoot this."
The trio abruptly twist their bodies around and stare at me wide-eye. I suppose they were expecting to fight an amateur.
With a twirl of the hand, I grasp onto the arrow with my bear hand; then I snap the petty weapon in half. "You wouldn't want anyone to get hurt."
"That was the point," Merida growls.
"No need to get so angry, Merida. Wrinkles don't look well on you."
"How do you know my name?"
"Oh, I know all your names. I know a lot about you and your... little team, so there's really nothing you can hide from me."
"It doesn't matter. We can easily take you down," Hiccup states. He was very determined; I'll give him that. It only means their defeat will be much sweeter.
"I highly doubt that. You have no idea who I am, so you're at a disadvantage."
"We'll see about that."
With that, Toothless shoots a plasma blast at my direction. I raise my hand and absorb its energy once the blast comes in contact with me, but nothing could contain the explosion that soon followed. I could give the element of surprise. As the smoke clears, I use the blast's energy and form balls of fire on my hand, shooting them towards the two Guardians.
Before Merida and Hiccup could get hit with my attack, Toothless jumps in front of the duo and shields them with his large wing. Then, as Toothless lowers his wing, Merida makes a surprise attack at me, shooting an arrow directly at me. I really hated karma, especially when it was directed towards me. Since the attack came at such an inconvenience, I didn't have time to move away, and the arrow manages to pierce through my right arm.
I yelp as soon as I feel the stinging sensation travel throughout my arm. I glance down at my injury and grip on the thin object then pull the arrow from my arm, hissing in pain during the process. I grasp onto my arm, trying to stop the bleeding, but it was going to take more than a little pressure to stop the blood from gushing out.
