I move myself in front of Valka, as if trying to shield the older woman from anything that Mother Nature has in store for us. The grumbles, chitters, and flapping wings all seemed to have come to a halt. I look beside me and notice that most of the dragons stood frozen on the grounds around us, whether hanging off of the rough rock-walls or on the large cliff beside Valka and I or on small hills that resided in the distance. Either way, their eyes were set on the woman that just mysteriously entered the cavern. (I mean, how the hell does she get here without either one of us noticing?) Tension must've been high for the three of us, and the dragons could sense it.

Hearing a choir of growls behind Valka and me, I turn my head to the left and eye at the small group of dragons. Medusa and Cloudjumper were leading the small pack. But, before I could silence them, Valka raises her hand to the creatures and they obey her command.

Even when the dragons silence their growls, there was no doubt that there was a change in the air. It seemed stuffy, almost unbearable to breathe in, despite the fact that the cavern was almost a few miles wide in its diameter. However, in order to clear the air and lose its tension, I have to get rid of the source of all this before any dragon beats me to the punch.

"What are you doing here, Mother Dearest," I spat out, my voice spewing venom even towards the end of that sentence.

"I came to speak with you, Luna. I believe it's time to have that Mother/Daughter chat that has been long overdue," she replies.

"How did you know where to find me?!"

"Motherly instinct."

I snort and a smirk manages to creep itself onto my lips. "Geez, where was that when you gave me up?! Last I remember, you never bothered to look for me; heck, you probably had forgotten all about me."

She opens her mouth, ready to retort, but I raise my hand to stop her.

"I don't need to hear your defense. But, what I want to know is; how could you possibly know about this cavern? How do you know about this sanctuary?"

"That's a redundant question for someone who already knew about this place before you did."

"... What?"

"How else am I suppose to know the whereabouts of an adult believer? You know, those kinds of people are rare, and it's imperative that we know where they are."

"So, you're saying you've always known about this sanctuary and the fact that there are adult believers to begin with. Well, that just makes the Guardians more dimwitted than they are since other legends are aware and not them."

"Luna," Valka whispers to me, "Don't say anything rash."

"Don't worry. I'm just trying to help," I whisper to her.

"Well, yes. Some of us have known about adult believers. But, Valka... I know more about her than anyone," Mother Nature states.

I clench my jaw. She's playing with me. If she knows about Valka, then she'll surely use this information to tell the one person Valka was trying to protect. Her ways of life will crumble down if what she fears truly becomes a reality. She's not ready to face her problems yet.

"If you tell anyone about Valka being here, I won't hesitate to hurt you. She's my friend," I threaten. "If you were half as good as you think you are, you wouldn't hurt Valka; now, would you?"
