I look at my watch. I'm due back home in less the four minutes.

I weave in and out of the sidewalk traffic.

"Hey!" Screams a pedestrian

"Watch it!" Yells a burly old man

I walk in the front door with ninety seconds to spare.

"Good, you're home!" Brooke says happily

She loves when people are on time.

Four hours later, Brooke has briefed us on every possible detail. She even knows how often people go on breaks.

"This isn't going to be easy." Brooke says with a determined gleam in her eye. "But it's for mom and dad. We will save them. And we are going to get even stronger."

"Stronger?" Eren says with wide eyes

"I actually found the CCGs workout regimen. Go get changed and meet me downstairs." She says

"Oh no." Eren moans

CCG must be really strong if they can do this much.

We've done perfect push-ups (you lean your weight way over your hands so that no weight is on your toes), hip bridges, burpees, sprints, pull ups, chin ups, and all sorts of evil torture.

"I think that's enough for today." Brooke tells us

"Shower time!" I shout

I didn't know we could sweat this much.

** Three Weeks Later **

The wind blows gently, despite the fact we're up so high.

"It's sticky up here!" Eren complains

"Shut up!" Brooke hisses

"You guys know what to do. So on the count of three." Brooke says

"One." I say

"Two." Eren says

"Three." Brooke finishes

With that, we sprint off the edge of the building and jump.

We land nimbly on the windowsills of the Cochlea.

I gently test the window I'm on to see if it's open. It is.

I climb in quietly along with my siblings, and we hit the ground running.

It's really interesting to see this as a place and not a map.

Eren gently opens a air shaft and climbs in. Brooke and I follow.

Brooke taps my leg and points down. We are above where they keep less serious ghouls.

I tug at Erens leg and he gets out of the shaft.

Row after row of medium sized boxes line the ground.

"Which one has mom and dad?" I ask

"These two, I think." Brooke answers

She snaps the locks on two boxes and they slowly rise from the ground.

Two ghouls step out of the compartments. And they are not my Mother and Father.

One has an old woman, clinging to the wall for support. The other has a boy who looks to be about two years older then me.

They both look so innocent, to innocent for this place.

Brooke rushes over to them, explaining that we are going to save them.

Suddenly, the alarms go off. They're a high pitched shrieking noise that causes everyone to drop to the ground.

"Eren! Lead the boy. I'll carry the woman!" Brooke shouts

We start running for an exit when the investigators appear.

I activate my kagune and I begin to knock them all of their feet. Brooke doesn't want anyone to die if it can be helped.

We make it safely out of the room and into a hallway. I guess everyone else must be asleep.

I begin to relax when the window we entered through becomes visible.

"There they are!" Shouts a man

Brooke is out of the window and Eren has just shoved the boy out.

I climb up and I am perched on the windowsill. Just as I begin to jump, white hot pain goes through my scalp.

"KAT!" Eren screams

"I've got you." The man whispers into my ear

He is dangling me a foot off the floor, holding onto nothing but my hair.

"Don't leave me.." I whisper, even though I know they can't hear me

'At least two innocents were saved' is all I can think before the man throws me into the wall. I lose consciousness as soon as my brain touches my skull.
