"It's time to cook dinner!" My parents shout simultaneously.

I run down the stairs, feeling as excited to help as I did when I was a toddler.

"What are we making?" I ask.

"You." They say, their jaws stretching to an inhuman size.

I shrink against the wall as I stare at their massive molars.

"Mom? Dad?" I stutter fearfully.

"We won't eat enough to kill you, sweetie." My mother purrs as she steps closer.

"Just a nibble... Fingers are such great snacks.." My dad says soothingly.

I turn to run and I face plant into Eren and Brooke.

"We'll save you soon." Brooke says sadly.

"Don't worry, it'll be okay." Eren says.

They grab my arms tightly and bring me forward to my parents.

"Dinner time, Kat-kun." Everyone says.

With that, my parents five forward and rip me to shreds. I shriek from the pain and try to escape, but no matter how hard I try Eren and Brooke refuse to let me go.

"It's to soon to leave!" Whines my father as he sucks the blood off my stumpy stumpy arm.

"We've had nothing to eat in four months!" My mom yells. "Do you not love us enough to save us?!"

I continue to struggle, but my siblings grip so hard that their nails make blood trickle out.

"I believe," my father says as he runs his finger around the perimeter of my eye, "that the eyes are the sweetest part. We can split them, sweetness."

"Oh!" My mother moans in delight.

They both reach their hands out towards my eyes.

I sit up in bed with a loud shriek.

I press my hand to my heart to find that it's beating rapidly. My breaths come swiftly yet I can't seem to get enough air.

I roll off the bed and collapse to the ground, unable to stand.

I lay like this for a few moments before pulling myself up on a chair.

All around me is darkness. It crawls forward and tries to burn me with its eerie tendrils.

I can't stay here. I can't.

Clinging to the wall for support, I inch my way towards the door. Even though I'm moving slow, I breathe as if I'm almost at the end of a marathon.

Opening the door, the reassuring white lights consume me.

I shut my door and I continue my slow-yet-fast shuffle. Not knowing what else to do, I knock on the door.

In about thirty-two seconds, Kanekis door opens slowly to reveal the innocent boy.

"Keiko? What is it? Something wrong?" He asks as he fully opens his door and rubs his eyes.

Confident in the fact that I know he'll catch me, I allow my body to do what it's wanted to do since I woke up.

"K-Keiko!" Kaneki shouts as he wraps his arms protectively around me. "What's wrong?!"

He tilts my head up so our eyes meet. He looks so scared..
