For those of you who skipped the last chapter

Kat was captured and seriously tortured for a month and a half by the CCG. Her torturers name is Sasabe. She had two caretakers who were really nice and helped you escape, their names are Haruka and Kyo. They're dating, just so you know. Sasabe performed a surgery on Kat where he took out her kidney and replaced it with a human one (he is a big fan of Kanou) and he replaced her liver with another ghouls liver. She realized that the next day is supposed to be when Finn takes her on a special date so she went and broke out. Before she was able to escape, Sasabe found her and fought with her. She left him in a bad condition and threatened to kill him and elderly mother who is dear to his heart if he didn't leave CCG and become a pastor.

The humid night air blew my hair into my face.

I angrily blow it out of the way.

Behind me, Cochlea is silent. They must not know about Sasabe yet..

I begin a light jog towards a ghoul infested area that will be safe.

Litter blows through the streets. A towering line of abandoned buildings look like the best place to stay the night.

I walk up to the one that's in the best condition and jiggle the door knob. Locked.

I back up a teensy bit and kick into it as hard as I can.

I walk into the building and I shut the door. It's decently cool in here, so I search for a comfy place to sleep.

There is a rotting recliner in a corner, and I nestle into it.

It feels safe and warm.

I click open my phone and look at all the messages.

Eren: I know you're probably not seeing these, but I love you. Brooke and I are coming to get you this Monday. So please be alive and please hang on.

I check the phones calendar. Today is Friday. They should've looked for me sooner. A lot sooner.

Eren: We saved those two ghouls. Turns out they were related. They're in the second ward now.

I flick through the rest of his messages. A bunch of stuff about loving me and how he couldn't wait any longer to save me.

Me: You don't need to. I got myself out.

Instantly, Eren responds

Eren: OH MY GOSH! THANK THE LORD! WHERE ARE YOU?!

Me: I'm out of Cochlea. I'll probably come home Sunday since that's what you two were planning.

Eren: Just come home now! I miss you so much. Please?

Me: I have stuff to do tomorrow. I'll probably be home Sunday. I've gotta go...

Eren: Kat, please!

I turn off my notifications and click on Lexi.

Lexi: Hey!

Lexi: Hey!

Lexi: Hey!

Lexi: Are you ignoring me?

Lexi: I called your house and your sister says your with your grandparents and you don't get service...

Lexi: You should call me

Lexi: KAT! I CAN'T SURVIVE WITHOUT YOU

Lexi: Where are you now that I need you?

Me: Lmao Lexi you literally need me all the time!
