6 YEARS LATER*****
Maddie's Pov:
"Mum ! I cant find my mascara!"
"Leah, youre going to middle school, not a club. You dont need it."
"Uh! Yes I do!"
"Don't have an attitude with me young lady! Hurry up, you're gonna be late!"
She came out and rolled her eyes.
"You look nice, love."
"Thanks." She says and follows me to the car.
I dropped her off at school.
"Have fun! Text me when its over okay?"
"Okay, love you." She says and kisses my cheek.
"Love you too." I say and leave.
Niall has been gone for 6 years. He's visited 3 or 4 times between that time, but it just wasnt enough.
He calls me everynight just so I know he's still alive, and thank god he is.
Leah hasnt really talked about him being gone, because well, she doesnt really remember him.
The last time she saw him, she was 7, and with everything going on in life, she just doesnt remember that much.
I hate mentioning him in front of her, because she gets defensive and pissed off.
She is turning 13 soon...
Holy shit.
7 years... Niall has missed 7 years of her life.
But fighting for this country was something he chose to do, so I let him do it.
I parked the car and walked into the now empty house. Since Niall's left, we moved into a bigger house, which he didnt know about, because I never really have the chance to tell him.
Leah has grown a lot. Her blonde hair goes down to her mid-back... Her blue eyes are really bright like mine, shes about 5'2, and she has quite the attitude like her father.
I still loved her the way I did when she was little, but I miss the little her.
I picked up my phone and dialled Nialls number.
"Ello?"
"Hey."
"Oh hey baby! Whats up?"
"Youre not busy? And just dropped off Leah."
"Nah. Its late. But I miss you so I wanna talk to you. What grade is Leah in again?"
I groaned and rolled my eyes.
"7th." I say.
"Oh shit, she's growing."
"Well it doesnt help that you have seen her since she was like 7."
"Maddie, you know if I could see her I would."
"You could; but you choose not too."
"Whatever. Did you call me to be a bitch?"
"How the hell am I being a bitch? Are you calling me names just because you know Im right ?"
Beep beep beep.
That little fucker hung up on me.
I sighed and locked my phone.
He has been like this since he entered the damn Army.
