Chapter 31:

Maddie's Pov:

"Okay- you're a fucking psycho..." I say slowly to Barianne.

"How?! I'm trying to protect you!"

"Why would I need you! You made my life a living hell, by bullying me and putting me down. You told all the guys in 9th grade that I had herpies so every guy I approached moved ! You told everyone that I sucked Joeys dick, when honestly, I didn't even know him! I was a girl with no friends, no father, and nobody to turn to because of you. You made fun of me and said that 'my dad dying' was an excuse for me. It wasnt, and it never will be an excuse. So why in the hell, would I need you." I spat and I was very close to her face.

Niall pulled me back and put his hand on my waist.

"I- you know what? Let Harry kill your daughter. It's Leah he wants." She says.

"Why would he want her?" Niall asks.

"Because of you." She says.

I felt the anger rise 10 times more than where it was.

"But mark my words, Madelynn... Harry's searching for you. And he will get you." She says and stomps out of our house.

I get out of Niall's grip and look at him with tears in my eyes.

"You're the reason our daughter is in danger ?"

"Maddie-"

"When is it going to stop ? When is the stress going to stop?" I ask and shake my head.

"We are not nineteen anymore, Niall. We are married and have two girls that mean the world to us-, or maybe just me." I say and roll my eyes.

"You know i loved them just as much as you do Maddie." He says, his voice sharp.

"Are you still doing drugs ?" I ask and look at his face.

"I- uh..."

"Get out."

"It's my-"

"Get the fuck out Niall James Horan ! We are over ! I'm done with you. Im tired of being lied to! I am sick and tired of it. I hope your ready for the divorce, cause its gonna smack you so hard in the-"

"Mum?"

I looked over and saw Leah rubbing her eyes and stretching.

"Hey... UHM, hang on.." I say and turn to Niall.

As calm as I could i looked him in the eyes and said,

"Get out. I'm done." I spit and walk away.

Leah's POV:

"Get out. I'm done." My mum says and surprises me.

My parents were separating?

What.....

The.....

Fuck...

I looked at dad who had tears in his eyes as he packed.

"So this is it?"

He nods and looks at me with sympathy.

"I'm sorry babygirl..." he whispers and hugs me.

Since he was a bit taller, I got on my tippy toes and hugged him.

"I will always love you, and always try to visit."

"Why does this feel so familiar?" I ask,

"Because you've dealt with it before." He says quietly and pulls away from our embrace.

"I'm sorry for being a bad father... I love you, and Sammy, and your mother. But, it's not working out. Take care of them, and your baby, and whatever you do, don't ever give up on your mum." He says and kisses my forehead.

I had tears rushing down my face as he says those words.

"You can't leave..." I croak.

"I have to."

"But dad- Sammy- she has to live without a father." I hiccup.

"I'm sorry Leah." He says and hugs me one last time.

"Dad please,,," I beg.

"It's not working for your mum and I... You'll understand in the future babe."

"But dad-"

"Leah..." He says softly.

"Just be good. A good daughter, bigger sister, and a mum. Be good. And don't make mistakes," he smiles sheepishly.

"I love you, Le. And I always will." He says and closes the front door behind him..

And the tears rush down my face as I know he's leaving.
