Maddie's Pov:

"Im home!" Leah screamed.

"Hey girl! How was school?" I ask

"Um, good?" She says and laughs.

"What happened ?"

"Nothing."

"Leah Jane Horan! I want details right now!"

"Mum! Nothing happened !"

"Are you sure?"

"Yes!! Can I go shower ?"

"Go ahead." I say and run my hand threw my hair in frustration.

My phone was ringing.

"Hello?"

"Hey babe."

"Hey Ni."

"Whats up?"

"Just got done talking to Leah, you?"

"Whens Leahs father daughter dance ?"

"Umm... In a few months... Why?"

"I'm gonna be there. But I'm visiting in a week."

"What?! Are you serious?"

"Yep. Ill be there the 19th."

"Oh my goodness. Thats great!"

I couldnt help but smile. He was finally coming home.

"But dont tell Le. I want to surprise her."

"I'll try not to."

"I miss you love."

"I miss you too."

"Well, I got to go. Its time to sleep for me. I loveee you!"

"I love you too, Ni. Sleep good. Bye."

"Bye."

I hung it up and couldnt help but be happy. After years of not seeing him, he was finally coming home.

"Hey mum!? Where the hell is my phone?"

"Leah... Stop cursing, and I dont babysit it."

She walked out and put her hands on her hips.

"Sorry." She sighs and sits down.

"Whats wrong , love?"

"Just tired."

"Of what?"

"School. Its getting harder."

"Youre only in seventh grade, Leah."

She rolled her eyes and yawned.

"Still a pain in the bum."

I smiled and looked down at my phone.

I locked my phone and turned on the T.V..

"Hey, mum?"

"Hmm?"

"We never do anything. Can we go shopping or something?"

"Sure. Lemme grab my keys."

"Mum, thats a little... Ugly.." I say and groan.

"Leah; its cute ! Try it on girl!"

I rolled my eyes and laughed then walked to the changing room.

My phone vibrated, i got a text from Matthew.

Hey! There's a party at Karlie's this weekend. Wanna come ?

I locked my phone and put the fabric on. I looked in the mirror and made a disgusted face.

I strutted out and showed my mum.

"Eh, you're right. That is NOT your color." She says and i laugh, then change into my old clothes.

"Want to go get some Starbucks?" She asks as I exit the dressing room.

"Yeah." I say and smile.

We pulled up, and got out, rushing to the doors.

As I entered, I saw, Mckenzie, Matt, Karlie, And Jace.

They smiled at me as I ordered.

"I'll be right back, okay?" I say and go to their table.

"Heyyyy girl! Whatcha doing here ?"

"Just chilling with my mum for the day. You?"

"Planning my party. Are you coming?"

"I havent asked yet."

"Dont ask, sneak out." Matthew says,

"Why?"

"Because parents say no to everything." Kenzie says.

"Fine. Fine, i'll be there."

"Yes !" They all cheer.

"I got to go. Text me later ?"

"Sure! See you later."

"What was that all about?" My mum asks.
