Chapter 36:

Niall's Pov:
I dropped my phone and my heart started to fasten.
He killed my mother.
He killed her.
"Babe.... Are you okay?" Maddie slowly says.
"Does it LOOK like im okay?!" I shout.
She flinches back and Leah bends over In pain.
"Dont fucking yell at me! I didnt do shit! Now you understand what I went through. My parents are dead, now so are yours. But they're in a better place and you should remember that." Maddie says.
I could tell she was pissed.
"Maddie- my mother was KILLED !! Your mum died of breast cancer. My enemy killed the last family member i had living-"
"Guys!"
"And the sad part is, I thought that after i saw my mother again, she'd be here for a long time-"
"Guys!" Leah yells.
"What do you want me to do?!" Maddie says.
"GUYS MY WATER JUST BROKE!"
I shut up and look at our daughter.
"Maddie , get her in the car, I'll be there in a minute" I say and watch them slowly get out of the house.


Leah's Pov:
"This shit hurts..." I curse.
"I know baby. We'll get you some epidural and it'll feel better," mum says and rubs my back.
"Mum." I breathe out deeply.
"Yeah?"
"Is it gonna hurt?" I ask.
"Uhm, it didnt hurt me, but im sure it won't hurt babe." She says and kisses my forehead.
"Can you hand me my phone?" I ask.
She nods and gives it to me.
I dial chads number and listen to it ring.
"Hello?"
"Hey babe. Its Leah. Im going into labor. I need you at the hospital." I say and watch my dad get into the drivers seat.
"Okay baby. I'll be there. Breathe in and out. I love you."
"I love you too." I say and hang up.
Dad gives me a look and starts the car.

"Okay, Leah... Is this your first baby?"
I nod.
"We're gonna give you some epidural and it'll numb your from the waist, down. Okay?"
I nod.
"Wait- something's not right... Angie, will you get the doctor ?"
"Whats wrong?" Chad asks.
"The babys heart rate is slowing down. We may need to do a C- section." She explains.
"Will she be okay?" Dad asks.
"Yes she will." She smiles.
When the doctors in, he looks at me and smiles.
"First baby?"
I nod shyly.
"Okay. So, Leah... We are going to do a C-section. The babys cord which is connected to you is wrapped around his neck." He says.
"Okay." I gulp.
"Did you give her epidural?" He asks the nurse. She nods.
I start to get tired, and end up slowly closing my eyes.

Chad's Pov:
"Nervous?" Niall says to me.
I nod.
I watch them cut her open and its quite disgusting,
But I know it'll be worth it in the end.
"Shes gonna be an amazing mother. And youre gonna be an amazing father." He smiles.
"Thank you." I smile.
All a sudden, I hear a baby screaming and look over.
The cord is wrapped around his neck, and hes screaming his little lungs out.
The doctors unwrapped it and they ask me to cut it.
I smile and nod, carefully cutting it.
After they clean him up, they stitch Leah, and she starts to wake up.
They hand the baby to her and she smiles sleepily and starts to cry.
"Hes so beautiful." She whispers.
Maddie and Niall are on one side of the bed. And im on the other.
"What are you gonna name him?" Her dad asks.
She thinks for a minute before looking up at her father.
"Gregory. Greg for short."


Nialls Pov:
"Gregory. Greg for short." She smiles at me.
I feel the tears come and start to cry.
She named him after my dead brother.
"Just for you, dad." She whispers as I hug her.
"Thank you." I say and kiss her cheek.
I held Greg and realized how much I missed my older brother.
I was a grandpa. And that, that shit was unbelievable.
"Where's Sammy?" Leah asks.
"Oh, at Eleanor's. She wanted to spend time with her."
She nods and Chad kisses her.
I look away and look down at the baby boy.
"Hi Greg." I smile.
His eyes slowly scan my face and honestly, I think i fell in love with this little boy.
I always wanted a son, but im happy with the two daughters I have.
"You did it, honey." Maddie says to Leah.
She nods and smiles.


Maddie's Pov:
"Did you name him Greg for dad?" I ask.
She nods while looking at Niall admiring the baby.
"I- once he said his mum was gone, and that his brother and father were gone.... I remember him once telling me about his brother, Greg. And I thought naming him Greg would make him happy, and now look at him." She smiles.
"You did great, love." Chad smiles and kisses her cheek.
For once in a long time, the problems we had before were pushed aside, because for once in a long time, we were all happy.
