Nikki's P.O.V.

A few days later Kyo, Tohru, Yuki, and I had to go back to school. I was still sleeping in Kyo's room, but he doesn't mind. A few days ago I saw him sneak his arm around me when I was in bed and I gave him a small hug too, then we began to blush, a lot. Now away from the embarrassing memories, I haven't heard from neither Ash and Katy since they left, I wonder if there okay and settled in?

I got up from Kyo's bed and stretched. I turned my head and saw Kyo still sleeping, so I decided to let him rest for a bit. I walked back into my room and put on my school uniform, then I went to the bathroom and brushed me teeth and hair. Once I finished, I headed downstairs for breakfast. The past few days have been quiet without my sisters around. Usually by now, one of them would be picking a fight with Kyo, poor Kyo, he's always treated like trash because of my sisters, but that's why he has me.

I walked over to the Kototsu and began to eat breakfast. Kyo came downstairs a few minutes after I came, then he took a seat next to me. Out of the sudden the phone rings and Shigure walks over to pick it up. He seemed to be talking in a soft tone, but in his usual happy expressed tone. Shigure then said, "okay" then turned towards my direction.

"Nikki," Shigure sang. "It's for you!" I placed my chopsticks down then I looked at Kyo. His expression carried confusion, but also eagerness at the same time. I turned around then walked over to the house phone and grabbed it from Shigure's hands and I said a simple, "hello"

"Hey Nikki, it's Katy." said the person on the other line.

"Ugh hey Katy, what do you need?" I asked. Katy paused for a moment then replied.

"Well, we settled in. Both Ash and I have are own rooms, and we have a kitchen and a living room. Today after school Ash is going to her part time job as a waitress at some cafe. I forget the name, but ask her when we get to school. Anyways, tell us is you want to see the apartment sometime because I guess you should see where we live."

"Um okay. Well I guess I should go finish up my breakfast, so I'll see you and Ash at school. Bye." I then placed the house phone back in its slot, then I went back and say next to Kyo and finished my breakfast.

"Okay students, today you'll be getting your exams back. Now if you have a 70 or under, you must come after school and redo it. No excuses!" A loud sigh was heard throughout the classroom. I had a feeling that I failed.

The teacher walked along the isles and gave everyone there tests back. My heart was beating rapidly and my palms began to sweat. Anymore of this stress would leave me into more trouble in the future. The teacher came to my desk and gently placed my test in front of me, upside down. I took a deep breath before I filled it over. Once I did I loved at the top in amazement. I got ever question right?! This can't be right! Maybe it was a mistake. Or maybe I got the wrong test back. I checked the top left of the paper and sweat dropped. Nope it's mine.

"Nikki, what did you get?" Katy whispered from the seat right next to me.

"I got them all right." I whispered back but more excitement was filled within me that before.

Katy slightly dropped her jaw. "Impossible. I always get better grades than you do." Katy showed me her test packet and I found the score at the top.

"That's still a good grade. Though, you did miss one question, but the good thing is...I'm one percent smarter than you." I snickered.

Then the teacher got everyone's attention like she had to say a special announcement or something.

"Students. I was pleased with some of your test scores, especially Nikki's. She scored the highest grade in the class. Let's give her around of applause."
