Kyo's P.O.V.

"Goodnight, daddy," my daughter said as she covered herself in several soft blankets. "I love you."

I leaned over and planted a kiss on her forehead. "Goodnight, Kimi. I love you, too." As I shut off the lights in her room, I exited what once to be Tohru's room.

It's been seven years since the birth of Kimi. But before her, Shigure gave us his house. It was on the day of our wedding, and he had to specifically announce that to everyone at the after party. Nikki and I were left in great shock, but Shigure had a completely acceptable explanation for it. He said that we shared many memories here and that we should be the new owners to make new ones. Nikki agreed with Shigure while cheering and chanting about it in her pure white wedding gown (which she looked adorable in).

While Nikki and I were on our honeymoon in Hiroshima and Paris, the others began packing their things to move to their new homes. Shigure went back to the Sohma Estate, though, he continued his work of being a writer. Yuki and Tohru moved into a house in the city, so they are closer to their jobs. They did get married only a few years ago and gave birth to a boy named Naoki, so I guess I'm a father and an uncle now. Finally, Ash married Shiro, though they can't get too close, (though Tohru and Yuki did their best) but they still do love each other. Katy moved in with Shiro and Ash, so she's basically the third wheel in their house. But I think from what I overheard from Nikki, Katy is currently in America at some pop concert thing.

Even though I cannot hold Kimi, I still allow her to hug me. I have been starting to adapt to being a cat whenever my daughter hugs me, and it doesn't bother me at all. She would always hold me by my side and when she was younger, it was the most adorable thing ever, she would play with me as a cat or a human with tea parties and other things little girls enjoy. Of course, Nikki did the same, but it was more common for me to become a cat. Although, if somehow both Nikki and I were in our animal forms, it would feel like paradise having the time of our lives with our daughter.

Other than Kimi now sleeping in Tohru's old room, some rooms stayed the same, while others...became a bit different. Ash and Katy's old room is now the guest bedroom, so if someone would (unexpectedly) come over and stay for the night, that is where they would sleep. Shigure's room stayed the same, except it's more of a study than a bedroom. Yuki's room, however, became a large storage closet. Nikki and I use that place to store extra mattresses, old furniture, or other items that may need to be placed their for s little while. Other than that, the kitchen, living room, the two bathrooms, the laundry room, and finally, my room (or now me and Nikki's room) stayed the same.

I began walking back to my room after the short memorable flashbacks that played inside my head like a record. I can't believe Nikki and I have been married for so long and basically we barely get into fights (besides the ones on what type of fish we should cook).

Once I entered my room, I glanced around looking for Nikki. I finally spotted her outside, leaning against the balcony railing as the cool night breeze swayed through her hair. Slightly opening the door, I went outside and leaned against the balcony with my wife.

Nikki turned her head and said, "She asleep?" referring to Kimi.

I nodded. "Yeah. That little girl is a heavy sleeper. Once she's asleep, she stays that way until morning." I chuckled softly. "She reminds me of us."

Nikki smiled slightly in return. "That's because she is basically us. Except, she doesn't have a curse." Suddenly, Nikki's eyes widen a bit as she panicked and said, "not that I want her to have one!"

"It's fine, Nikki. I only wanted a normal human daughter and our wish came true." I paused for a moment as I watched her lips curl up into a smile. But sadly, that smile fades as she looked out into the woods, staring blankly into the trees.
