Nikki's P.O.V.

Kyo and I walked hand in hand back to Shigure's house, and in no time, we approached the house. I carefully clenched the box in my other hand, containing the address to my mother's house, which I was eager to go to. I haven't seen her in over thirteen years so I guess we'll have a long discussion about...well our lives.

"We're here," Kyo states as we stand in front of the house. I smile in return, then I clenched my fist and cough. Kyo looks over in concern. "Nikki, please go to sleep. You need the rest, especially if you want to see your mother tomorrow."

I had no choice, but to agree with him. I was still sick and with all of the chaotic nonsense that happened today, made me forget about my flu. I wasn't really suppose to move from my bed until tomorrow, but my stubbornness had taken control of me, causing everything that happened today to occur.

"Kyo, I'm sorry for leaving bed and ignoring your concerning influence. I was too stubborn and all of this happened...," my voice began to trail off, which caught Kyo's attention.

"Its not your fault Nikki," Kyo gave me a reassuring smile. "I should've let you at least eat our meals downstairs instead of being in bed alone all day. I'm the one whose sorry."

"I guess you two are both sorry for yourselves and to one another." a male voice spoke. I looked up and noticed Shigure leaning on the doorway with his arms crossed and planting a smile across his face.

"Oh, hello Shigure," I greeted, slightly waving. He waved back as he let Kyo and I enter the house. Once we did, a delicious scent filled the air, gravitating me towards the kitchen.

I walked into the kitchen, smelling the freshly made salmon onigiri and curry. As I sniffed the air continuously, Tohru turned around with her usual beaming grin.

"It seems you like tonight's dinner, Nikki," Tohru said, giggling with pleasure.

I smiled. "Of course. Anything that involves salmon or homemade curry always leaves me wanting more."

Tohru agreed with my response, "Especially Shigure. He's always sneaking downstairs in the middle of the night snacking on something I recently made."

I couldn't help but laugh. Shigure was always over Tohru's food, along with my sisters. Awhile back when Ash and Katy lived here, I noticed them secretly walk into the kitchen and snatch some leftovers, then shoving every last crumb into their mouth before someone saw them, but it was palpable to me.

"Anyways, I better get back to Kyo before he questions where I am." I politely excused myself then turned around, about to make my way out of the kitchen, until I felt a soft hand placed onto my shoulder, which brought a shiver down my spine.

"I apologize for startling you, but I was wondering where you and Kyo wondered off to earlier today." Tohru questioned, taking her small hand off of my shoulder.

I sighed, though I did have to explain everything to her and the others. "Its complicated, but...I was somehow kidnapped by Akito and I woke up in a closet. Later on, my biological father arrived and I saw him for the first time in over thirteen years. Though, I didn't greet him with happiness and a lovely pleasure, instead it was hatred, which I always had a passion for. Its hard to explain my relationship with him, unless I reveal everything about my past, which would take awhile to describe."

Tohru's jaw slightly dropped after hearing my story, probably because I got kidnapped. "Oh, that's terrible," Tohru exclaimed. "I can't believe you got kidnapped!"

"Yeah I know, I'm just glad that K--," Suddenly, a hand was unexpectedly placed over my mouth, stopping me from what I was going to say next.

"That's enough talking now," a calm male voice spoke. "You need to save your voice if you want to see your mother tomorrow." I looked over my shoulder and noticed Kyo smiling, while removing his hand away from my mouth.
