Nikki's P.O.V.

The past four days I've been sick in bed. Due do my selfish actions for not bringing a jacket when it was raining the other day, my punishment was getting the flu. Its been such a pain and I mostly spend my day in bed. Kyo insists me to eat in bed, even if he has to go against my refusal. But, from what I'm hearing from Hatori and the medicine that I was taking, I may be better by tomorrow. Finally, I can once again be my healthy, illness free self while roaming freely in the summer daylight.

"Nikki, you up?" I lifted myself up slowly from under the warm covers. Katy and Ash stood by the bed in our room, both looking at me in concern.

"What does it look like?" I reply with a croaky, irritated voice. Ash and Katy both rolled their eyes.

"Listen, I know you're still mad at us for what we did the past few days. We already gave you an apology...what else do you need?!" exclaimed Ash, as she clenched her fists, then hit them with a great amount of force onto the bed.

I glanced downwards, looking at my pile of blankets, then I looked back up at my sisters. Before I could answer, Kyo slid open my door, while carrying my daily tray of breakfast.

"Ash...Katy...what the hell are you two doing here anyways?" asked Kyo, trying his best not to get too aggravated at them.

"Um, this is our room too you know!" Ash spat back in disgust. At that moment, Kyo clenched his available fist tightly, ready to punch the livings out of Ash. He walked over to my bed, placed down the tray on top of me, so I could enjoy my breakfast, then walked right back to Ash.

"I swear, if you explain to me one more time about something that's obvious, I will tear you to shreds." Kyo threatened, now clenching both fists. Ash rolled her eyes, then decided to leave the room to go downstairs. Katy felt my forehead to check if I was okay, then she walked out, leaving Kyo and I along.

"Kyo," I sighed in grief. "Please, just this one day can I go outside?" I begged desperately.

"I can't let you do that Nikki," he replied, which broke my heart. "Hatori said you needed to stay in bed for about five days...you can survive one more day." Kyo then did the same thing that Katy did; feeling my forehead. Kyo nodded firmly, then walked to the door, slowly sliding it open. But before he walked out, he glanced at me and smiled. "I'll be back to check on you in a few hours." As he walked out the door, he blew me a kiss. I actually missed kissing him and since me being sick and all, I don't want him to caught my cold.

I positioned myself so I could eat properly. I picked up my chopsticks then I pulled on them with great tension, snapping them apart. I then picked up some of the food on the plate, then shoving it in my mouth. Since my taste bubs were really dry, I couldn't properly taste the delicious food Kyo prepared for me.

After finishing breakfast, I was extremely bored. I desperately wanted to go outside and enjoy the fresh air that I haven't breathed in days. I feel so guilty that Kyo has to take care of me since it was my fault that I got sick in the first place. After all, I was too stubborn enough to not listen to Kyo and grab my jacket.

I pushed the covers off of my body, then stepped onto the floor. My bare feet immediately froze, now starting to crawl up my spine. I stumbled clumsy as I headed to my dresser to put on clothes. I opened one of the drawers and pulled out a black pair of pants and a plain dark blue shirt and put it on. I then grabbed a pair of white, comfy socks and slid those on.

"Okay Nikki, now you have to find a way to sneak out of the house and hopefully not get noticed by Kyo or the others." I whispered to myself briefly. I finally decided that I would have to jump off the roof just to enjoy the fresh air in the woods.
