Third Person's P.O.V.

Ash slammed her hand on her alarm clock, though she missed it the first few times. She groaned as she slowly lifted her upper half body from her peaceful slumber. She stretched her arms and yawned, then she got out of bed and walked to her dresser, still half asleep.

Once Ash was finished getting ready for school, she headed towards the kitchen to eat breakfast. Only a few yards away, she saw her sister, Katy, cooking a few strips of bacon and some fried eggs. Ash smiled at seeing her pink-haired sister gaining responsibility. She walked over to the refrigerator and opened one of the doors, then she pulled out a pint of orange juice and shook it.

Katy's wolf ears perked up at the sound. She turned her head and saw her fox sister calmly drinking juice while she had to work. A growl escaped Katy's mouth, which caught Ash's attention.

"What? You wanted some?" asked Ash as she held the juice in front of her.

Katy rolled her eyes. "No. Just don't sneak up like that next time. I hate being startled." Katy grabbed the spatula and began to flip the strips of bacon, then she pressed the spatula on top of every stripe. Steam arose from each strip making Ash's mouth water. Katy then checked the eggs on the other side of the bacon frying pan. She did the same thing with the bacon; pressing it and letting the steam rise up. The scent of the fried eggs made Ash's nose wrinkle. She wasn't a huge fan of eggs, but since her sister woke up early enough to make breakfast, she thought it would've been rude to not take a bite of it.

Ash grabbed another glass cup from the cabinet above her head. She poured some orange juice inside it and brought it too the table, also carrying her own. She placed the two cups down, then walked over to the silverware drawer and grabbed a fork and knife for herself and Katy. The drawer right beside her contained the napkins, which she also grabbed two of. She walked over to the table and set them down. Katy, who was carrying two plates with bacon and eggs on it, sat down and handed a plate to Ash.

"Well at least you set the table," Katy said as she picked up her knife and fork to cut the fried egg into small pieces. "But tomorrow, your making breakfast."

Ash stuck a strip of bacon into her month the nodded. She swallowed her chewed food with a saddened look on her face. "I never knew maintaining a house was this hard," Ash thought out loud. "Schools enough to handle, but a house and a job...its way more difficult that I thought it was."

"But it was for the best," Katy added. "Kyo, Yuri, and Shigure would've gotten tired of transforming all of time just because of us." Katy put a few pieces of the egg in her mouth. Ash fiddled with her fork and the last strip of bacon that she had. Katy noticed how strangely her sister has been behaving the last few days. Katy thought of something to ask her about and try to get some information out of her mind. "So." Katy began. "How's work?"

Ash looked up from her plate. "Good," She then looked back down and put some egg in her mouth, then sipped some of her juice to get the disgusting taste out of her mouth.

Katy knew something was in Ash's mind. "What I meant was...what's your task in there and stuff like that." Katy hoped that Ash would tell her something, but from experience Ash was a difficult person to obtain information from.

Ash sighed heavily. "Well I'm a waiter at a café. My boss, Kira (yes Kira....comment if you know what I'm talking about) she's really nice to me, but she can be really strict too. She's always yelling at other employees to be more happy and care for the customers and such. All I care if I get $400 a week and make a salary of 20k to 30k a year, I'll be alright."

Katy raised an eyebrow in confusion, but her eyes also showed concernment. "That isn't a lot of money, do you think we'll manage to live here long enough? What if---."

"Katy, you don't understand," Ash interrupted. "I make $400 a week! We pay rent here for $200 so we've got nothing to worry about. Lets see..." Ash stood up from her seat then grabbed her phone near the kitchen sink. She pressed the calculator app and showed Katy what she was doing. "Okay so if I multiply the rent payment and the amount of weeks their are in a year, I would get $10400. We will pay that amount every year, unless the owner of the apartment building raises the price."

Katy nodded in agreement. Ash was right, they had nothing to worry about their money. If Ash could keep her job for a long time, they would soon have enough for their own house. The thought of moving out of the house made Katy smile. She glanced at the time on Ash's phone. Her eyes widen at the time. 7:45 am.

"Ash!" Katy panicked. "We have 15 minutes to get to school before it starts!" Ash looked at the time then back at Katy in amazement. How could she loose track of time so fast?

Both Katy and Ash ran into their rooms and collected their things. In a flash they both were near the front door wearing appropriate clothing and their schoolbags. Ash grabbed the house keys from the counter, then she clenched them in her hand. They both stepped outside, closed the door, then Ash locked. Afterwards, she shoved the keys in her backpack where no one will take them.

"Ash," Katy's voice seemed to be soft and more caring than usual. "Do you also have a feeling that we're being watched?" Ash looked at Katy in concern.

"Yes, but our animal instincts could be wrong and we could just be overreacting," Ash replied. "But we should keep our guard up and we should stay prepared at all times." Katy nodded at her sisters response, then he quickly ran down the stairs, on their way to school.

------

After school, Katy and Ash both waved goodbye to Nikki, Kyo, and the others. The turner around the started to walk back to their apartment. Ash and Katy stood beside each other before eat h of them would go separate ways.

"I guess I'll see you soon." Ash said as she held the house keys in her hand.

"Okay bye." Ash handed the house keys to Katy, then they walked away heading towards different destinations.

Ash crossed the street very carefully. She always knew this road was held with reckless drivers. She looked both ways then ran across with an ease. She breathed heavily after she accomplished one of the most difficult parts of her day, then she continued onward to the café.

A few minutes later, Ash arrived at the café. The second she stepped inside the scent of coffee and delicious pastries warmed her heart. Ash walked towards the back of the café where she would get her proper work clothing on. She walked through a door saying, employees only, then she grabbed one of the last remaining aprons and put it on. She tied the laces in the back to form a little bow, then she put her hair up. Ash looked at herself in the mirror. She sighed. As much as I hate this job, its for Katy and I, thought Ash. She was about to walk out of the room, until she bumped into a young woman.

She was about the age of 23 and a few inches taller than Ash. She wore a dark red, plaided flannel, with dark blue jeans. She wore a white shirt under her flannel which seemed to have some writing on it. She also wore dark blue thick glasses which went perfectly with her brown eyes and dirty blonde hair.

"Oh boss hello, you scared me for a moment." says Ash a bitter frightened.

Her boss smiled which soon became a small laugh. "Sorry about that and please just call me Kira," Ash nodded in return. "Anyways, I'll be going now. I have some...eh...some work to catch up on." With that Kira walked off, towards the back of the room. Ash waited till she was fully out of her sight, then she opened the door to exit the employees room. Kira seems a bit strange...I wonder what's up with her today, Ash thought to herself. Well I guess I should take some customers' orders right now before I loose my job. Besides, this for some reason is the only job that will hive me enough money for Katy and I...
