My body no longer burned with the pain of wounds that weren't there.My arms and legs were moving at a normal speed again.The thoughts I was having beforehand were forgotten when I took in the sight at the entranceway.

Makoto.

Everyone had a dead look in their eyes.They didn't shy away or cry at the sight of Makoto's corpse,they just stared at it as if it were a a piece of road kill in the middle of the road.Much like one would look at a piece of roadkill,their eyes looked empty and full of pity.Not quite the sentiment one should have when looking at the dead body of one of their own kind.

"It's not possible."Aya muttered.

"Who is he?"Minako whispered her voice quivering,the only one showing a tiny bit of emotion.

"We were so close."Yoshio looked at Makoto with no compassion."One more day,and we could've been free from this nightmare.

I took a look around the room and noticed two people were absent.

Nagito and Igao.

I couldn't blame them for not knowing where the rest of us were,they were probably waiting for us in the Dining Hall.

"Where is the announcement?"I asked.Everyone turned towards me in unison.They apparently hadn't seen me come in.

"Huh?Didn't you here it?"Aya blinked at me in confusion.

"It played when we found the body."Akihiro ignored the question Aya fired me.

Then how long have they been standing here staring at his corpse?!

"And you didn't hear it?You were asleep?"Yoichi asked me.

"Yeah.I was having a really...weird dream."I hesitated on the word weird because while I couldn't remember what it was about I did know that it was the reason my body had been acting so strange.

"Always late,hah that's really accurate."Yoichi gave a small forced laugh.But I noticed he gave a pointed look at Aya when I turned back towards Makoto.

"So who is this guy?"Minako asked.

"You don't know?"I guess even if she did meet Nagito that doesn't necessarily mean she saw Makoto at all.

"You do know?"Minako asked incredulously.

"Yeah."I swallowed the lump in my throat."This was Makoto Naegi."

"Makoto?!"Yoshio asked,his eyes widening.

"The same Makoto you said was coming to save us?!The same one you got into contact with that was from Future Foundation?!That Makoto Naegi?!"Yoichi asked,his voice rising in octaves I didn't know possible for a male.

I nodded slowly."Yeah.Thats the one."

"We're never getting rescued!"Yoichi threw up his hands."That's it!That was our last hope of escape!We're gonna spend eternity in this hell hole!"

"Everyone."

Igao's voice sang from the door to the entranceway.We turned towards him,and saw him standing there with Nagito following behind him.

Igao gave a quick look at Makoto's body and pushed Nagito forward.He wasn't very heavy and wasn't expecting him to do that so he stumbled and fell to the floor at our feet.Aya and Yoichi gasped at the action,and even I was surprised by the violent nature of the shove.

"I believe I have found our culprit."Igao waved a black folder in front of his face.
