"Why the hell would you do something like that?!?!" Nicki was screaming that evening as she walked into the house carrying a semi-conscious Perrie.
They had just gotten home from the hospital where doctors told Nicki that Perrie had a mild concussion from a knock to the head. Earlier that day sometime after lunch, she'd gotten a call saying that Perrie and Jade were found out in the school yard when they were supposed to be in class. Perrie was flat on the ground with Jade hovering around looking guilty. Perrie got rushed to the hospital and Jade got sent to the principal's office for questioning.
Now Nicki had got back home from the hospital with Perrie, the rest of the kids having been at the house for a while by themselves.
"Oh relax Mam it's not like I killed her." Jade muttered.
"But you could have Jade! Whatever you hit Perrie with was pretty hard to leave a bump this big and knock her out cold!" Nicki yelled not believing that she was getting attitude from Jade who was supposed to be the sweet perfect one. She further more could not begin to fathom why Jade would do such a thing. Knocking Perrie out was definitely new as far as Nicki knew.
"Oh no this -" Jade gestured to Perrie who Nicki was putting down on the couch. "This is your fault Mam! Don't try to pin this on me! You broke Perrie!"
Jade was pissed at Nicki for feeling the need to contact Perrie's people behind her back to seek information that shouldn't matter. All Perrie wanted to do was forget all of that stuff and here is Nicki digging it all back up again.
"What do you mean this is my fault?" Nicki yelled. "You're the one who knocked your sister out and didn't even call for help. You just stood there until the teachers came to the rescue!" Nicki accused wondering why Jade was blaming her for this.
Jade scowled and was about to scream something else at Nicki but glanced at Perrie and muttered instead. "Whatever Mam. It doesn't matter. You should stop yelling. Concussions really hurt." She started heading up the stairs to her room knowing she was grounded and probably banned from reading. She should start trying to be good again.

At dinner that night Jesy and Leigh-Anne were sitting in the same chair. Nicki didn't know what to do with them and decided to leave them be since they weren't getting physically hurt or anything.
"Jesy and I were watching this really funny show this afternoon . . ." Leigh-Anne was chattering away as usual.
"That's nice sweety." Nicki said wondering what could have possessed Jade to do that to Perrie. Nicki always suspected and well kind of knew that Jade and Perrie's relationship was strange but this was the first time she'd actually seen Jade's violence against the younger girl. Was this stuff normal for them? If it was she definitely needed to put an end to this.
"Leigh-Anne I think we've out-done ourselves this time with dinner." Princeton said softly, smiling at her from his seat. He thought maybe he should try to make a move since Jesy said that Leigh-Anne thought he was handsome.
"Uhh . . ." Leigh-Anne glanced at Jesy then smiled in Princeton's direction. "Yeah our recipe for lassagnia is great."
Jesy growled as Princeton's voice started up annoyingly in her head. She stared daggers at him from across the table.
Perrie could suddenly be heard screaming from Nicki's bedroom really loudly. Nicki bolted to a standing position. "I'm going to check on Perrie. I don't want any fighting while I'm gone." She eyed each of the kids briefly in turn compelling them to behave then left.
"Ha Ray you can't fight with Jade since she didn't come down for dinner." Prodigy stated pointing at Ray Ray and smirking.
"Shut up!" Ray Ray snapped at him then continued eating. He was muttering to himself about how Jade knocking Perrie out was stressing Nicki out.
