Chapter 27

The next week was the last before spring break. On the Friday of that week at dinner Nicki had some exciting news for the kids.

"Okay guys so you know that today is the beginning of Spring Break." Nicki started excitedly. She was pleased with her little idea.

"Ooh you look excited Mam . . . Did you buy me new books?" Jade asked excitedly.

"No I . . ." Nicki tried to continue but was interrupted.

"Did you get us new toys then?" Perrie asked.

"No not toys or books but I did . . ." Nicki started up again.

"New toys?" Prodigy asked cutting her off with a huge smile on his face.

"Prodigy I just said no to Perrie why are you asking . . ."

"New toys?" Yelled Roc Royal.

Nicki frowned. "NO!!! NO NEW TOYS! You guys have enough toys." Nicki screamed in frustration. "I was thinking that since you guys haven't been anywhere but here I thought that it would be a good idea to bring you to some of the most famous sites around America." Nicki said.

"What I'm hearing is road trip!" Leigh-Anne said excitedly.

Everyone erupted in a chorus of 'yeahs' and 'yays'. Well not Ray Ray who didn't look at all excited and Princeton who only smiled to himself.

"Um guys settle down. It's not exactly a road trip. We're just gonna use my jet to fly to the different places. And well we can drive there from the airport. So you know all sorts of different places so you guys can see just how beautiful America is."

"That sounds like so much fun Mum I can't wait!" Leigh-Anne said excited.

The other kids agreed enthusiastically.

"Where are we going first?" Prodigy asked beaming.

"It's a surprise guys." Nicki said. "We'll leave on Saturday. I've just got to call my team and tell 'em what I'm doing so we can organize the plane and car and work my schedule around it. Oh and we might need security . . . Hmm . . . they might wanna film it . . ." Nicki started rambling on.

On Sunday morning Nicki and the pips were in the back seat of a limosine. They were in San Francisco driving to the sight of the Golden Gate Bridge with the pips unaware of where they were headed. They were all making amusing guesses of where they were headed except for Jade, Princeton and Ray Ray who'd figured it out on their own as it was kind of obvious. The others clearly didn't know much about things like this.

"Is it the worlds biggest pizza place?" Prodigy asked scratching his head.

"No." Nicki answered. She felt happy that she was going to teach them something. Their ignorance was kind of amusing and cute. They were so excited about spending a night in a hotel and it was just so precious how they looked in the airport.

Paparazzi had found out that she was here though and she knew that soon enough that the entire world would know about her pips. The only people who knew were her Mom, Drake, her team and the people from the school. But it wasn't like confirmed news to the rest of the world. So far she'd only heard that there were a few rumors that she did not confirm. But now there was no denying it. She just didn't want them being uncomfortable. She hoped that there wouldn't be paparazzi at the bridge when they got there. As far as she knew her destination had been a secret, and it'll keep being a secret until she gets there.

The driver pulled over and got out to give Nicki and the kids a hand. Their security people who were following in a black car surrounded them as they started stepping out. First the pips then Nicki.
